yeah I know. the 787s will replace the old 747s and I think that the 767s as well. also el al will fly to new destinations

Very nice trip report! I fly regularly on El Al's 747 (also 777) to the States. They're a little tired, but still a very comfortable ride. I posted a video on El Al 747 from Newark to TLV, and it's pretty good 😊

AFAIK -4X-ELH is the worst examplar in EL-AL's 747 fleet since it is destined to serve mainly on the Tel Aviv - Bangkok route and since there is no competition there - EL-AL is giving its passengers the minimum required unlike the 747s that fly the JFK route. It is very old indeed.

Not always actually . Sometimes they use ELE or ELD but ELH itself is not that bad as you can see. yes I know that the plane is old, but you could easily fly with it to Bangkok. Hope you enjoyed the video! :)

Flying el al 747 short haul is quite an experience though. Normally a 737 is on route BCN-TLV.
