I have an idea Toni ☝🏾 It works for me. Maybe it will for you too. How about adding WIP tags to your unfinished items? I use a small square of drawing paper which I punch a hole into, write what needle I was working with, what I was making and why I paused the item. I then attach it with a stitch marker/pin through the punched hole. Then when I take it back up, it’s easier to restart said item.

Ive decided to take the 1-10 pain scale my doctor has me use for my chromic pain to keep track of it every day.😂 So its my pain blanket but my kids picked which skeins went to which numbers when they dont know what the numbers mean. So the higher my pain day they picked prettier yarn so now i have at least one thing to make me happy on my bad days. Plus i can keep travk of it for my doc. My goals for this year are to do 2 things: 1) declutter by getting rid of 1 item per day (no matter how large or small) by tossing, recycling, giving away, or repurposing them. I'm keeping a spreadsheet to track them to keep me accountable. 2) Use my stash yarns to knit up a bunch of small items (hats, gloves, scarfs, socks, pot holders, hand towels, etc.) to use as gifts around the winter holiday season 2025. Oh, and Jan 20th - perfectly understandable.

What I'm working on right now is the Azami Sweater (you can find it on Ravelry) using a light fingering/heavy lace weight yarn (sort of marled emerald green/royal blue with a shine to it). It combines cables with lace for a round yoke (with an option to add beads - I'm skipping the beads because my yarn is so beautiful I think the beads would take away rather than adding to it.) Behind that I plan to do a pair of Thrummed Mittens (also on Ravelry) which use a special technique to create a super warm lining.

I‘ve been keeping a five-year daily journal since 2022, and I use different colored pens to write each entry depending on my mood. I'm currently working on handspinning a blend of alpacca and 21 micron wool fibre into a 3 weight yarn in several shades of dark brown, taupe and cream. I'm using this to crochet a "freeform granny spiral" jacket. The best bit (for me) ... to make spirals in opposite directions I've taught my right-handed self to crochet left-handed 😮. The tension isn't identical yet, but it really increases the fun of the challenge. Hope everyone enjoys their making as much as I do. 😊

I have a ton of wips too haha. My currently working one is a birthday gift for one of my nieces. She's VERY into dragons, and she loves the color orange. So I am making a crocodile/dragonscale scarf in orange, orange mix (impeccable hot sunshine), neon orange, and a vintage rust yarn. It looks SO COOL and I'm only a short way through. I'm hoping that I can make time to make the Maple Sweater. I love it, and I want one so badly! ♥ Even if i don't win, I'd be learning something new, which is enough for me!

Oh my word how I LAUGHED at 1:25!! I have been refusing to kiss my husband on the mouth for the past 2 weeks for this reason! He has been so sad lmao. But I'm like, honey we have 2 kids/germ factories in grammar school, we are in our 40s and a simple cold knocks us flat for a week! My husband gets bronchitis almost every time he gets a respiratory bug these days, and then he is out of commission for an extra 2 weeks. I can't deal with it anymore lol. So no mouth kisses until cold season is over!! As for projects, I have been stress crocheting sunburst squares since MLK day. It keeps me from doom scrolling the news and bursting into tears at random times through the day. 😭 I am still a newbie crocheter, having just begun learning in November, so I am slow lol. But I am making a doll blanket for my daughter. Now my other daughter wants one as well. After that I need to get to work on a memorial quilt for my MIL using FIL's old shirts. I want to crochet a chicken and poncho for my husband, a cowl and sweater for myself, and start making blankets for Project Linus. So thankfully I have plenty of projects lined up to keep me busy. It is really so therapeutic in these worrying times. Thank you for being here to help us find community!

I have liked the idea of a temperature blanket but find tracking temperatures terribly boring. But then I came across the idea of making a 2025 book blanket! I will be making a granny square for every book I read/listen to this year. Each square is designed with colours to match the book cover!

Whenever I fly I try to go to the hotel immediately and take a shower and change clothes. I've never caught a cold from a plane so I swear by it.
