It's my sisters bike first bike but I love taking a ride on it when I can. In mx and xc type stuff it's a real fun and easy bike to ride fast and in hard enduro I've found it just a capable as my Beta 300 but does take some extra rider input with the clutch to keep it going sometimes. For a small bore its got good low end and can be lugged, think it'd be a good bike for your kid if it's a first bike or upgrade from a smaller bike
