Some context: Before this concert started, the Sabha Secretary came on the stage and said something along the lines of.. "We distance ourselves from TM Krishna's political statements. TMK should stop making those statements and only concentrate on music." TMK gave a fitting reply with the choice of this lovely padam and you can hear the audience applauding when he sang the pallavi: Yarukkaghilum Bhayamaa (translation: Why should I fear anyone?)

Swaralapanam is outstanding. Contains the soul of Begada, by stressing the vakra bhavam in both arohana and avarohana

Carnatic music has bhakthi as one of its fundamental elements for many, if not most or all of its rasikas.. in addition to the elements that are common to all classical music traditions.

The guy on the right most of TMK just sits idle and staring TMK looks like a sleeper cell, whenever TMK turns his side he starts acting as if he is doing thalam

But he is doing none of that things you said, they are all students and soaking it all in, to sit with a teacher not disturbing his train of thoughts and to sit is a essential attribute of any music student, It is a lesson in itself
