Great transformation guide. My instuctions paper manual missed rhe collapsing leg part. Really made the rest of the transformation fusturating. Very satisfying when complete. I feel like I just mastered the Rubik's Cube.

Hey! I know it's been 6 years since you uploaded this video, but I just got the TRU exclusive of this guy off of Ebay. Already managed to get a stress fracture on those leg panel/flaps that go on the side. It's not the end of the world, but looking at your video here should hopefully prevent further damage, you're a lot more gentle with it than I was. This being my first MP Transformer I got a bit excited. Gotta be slow with those leg panels.

I don't think I ever used kids gloves to play with this figure. You must be your super heavy-handed.

After sleeping on it and looking at it again, I think what happened is I had trouble folding them in and they kind of splayed outward stressing and eventually breaking that small piece. It looks like it will hold fine as long as I am not constantly ham-handing it. There are no stress marks or issues on the rest of the joint that I can see.

Far more complicated than he needs to be. I get some of it with the articulation, but oh for the simple '84 days, 😆. Even with the instructions I couldn't get all of it. Thanks!

5 years ago when I bought it, the Hasbro version came with all 5 of his cassettes for $120. Nuff said.... but to say more, the only thing different is their visor and packaging

I can't get mine tight because the piece that covers the batteries is on an angle...can't get it to 90'. What am I doing wrong? The back of mine has slanted batteries instead of batteries that are vertical...ugh.........

Without seeing it, I can't tell you. That is the most simple part of the transformation. Maybe you got a KO.

I figured out something that you missed. The button on top of the kneecaps that collapses the legs into the thighs, there's a secondary button on the back of the calf that you have to push at the same time or else the legs won't collapse. I was driving myself crazy until I pushed it by accident. Otherwise, great video. 👍🏿

You just made me watch my video for no reason. I literally point out the button on the back of the calves. There's no other way to make the legs collapse

I owned the original one as a kid. I haven't had a Transformers figure for a long time, but I DO own this SoundWave... Would you consider him to be pretty complex as far as Transformers go? The video was a TON of help. 💯
