I remember my mind being blown when I discovered Shockwave has an ab crunch for that hunched look. His head transformation is also fantastic. I would love for Generations to update this version of the character.

I just realized something: The grey SHOCKWAVE is reminiscent of the Radio Shack knockoff, whereas the purple one is as such of the G1 color scheme, and Corey Burton reprising his role for said character is nostalgic.

forgot how much I LOVED this version of the character, I mean he was pretty much a better Punch/counterpunch and would love t see Hasbro or a 3rd party take a wack of a modern version of this shockwave cuz honestly this toy has a lot of possibilities if combine the weaponizers with him or just simple recolours/retools

Great review TMan978!!!!!! This remains one of my all time favorite Shockwave figures. I have both of these and I use the gray version for Longarm Prime. :D Keep on being amazing.

It wasn't really a spoiler cause we already knew who Longarm was long before his toy released. I only have the Longarm version and could never find Shockwave but yeah a lot of the joints are loose on mine too. The panels on his legs do actually clip in though. If they're not clipping in it means his legs aren't transformed correctly. The inner part of the leg and the waist part you pull down have to be perfectly straight for it to actually lock in place. The ab crunch is actually meant to always be engaged for Shockwave as he did have a slight hunch in the show. And he doesn't have a cannon arm like G1 Shockwave, he just holds his gun. The insignias on Shockwave are not SG colors either if they were the Autobot and Decepticon colors would be swapped around. Also odd he seems to be the only figure that actually has correctly colored insignias while Longarm is randomly using Bayverse insignias for no reason. BTW I took a black sharpie to the Decepticon insignia on his cannon cause it makes no sense for that to be there. It's clearly visible in Longarm mode which ruins the whole disguise. Oh and I've also had issues with the head on mine, the little patch on his chin is actually a separate part that came off on mine and got lost cause the easist way to get that head up is to lift from under the chin but doing that makes that piece pop off.

This was an original story for this animated series. Long arm is a trademark name used by Hasbro in more than one toy line.
