Everest fanatic here! This is awesome, I'd love to get MSFS just for this so I could get the closest to climbing it without actually doing it. Compared to the real Everest, this is a cakewalk of course. Since this is satellite data there no hundred-meter-deep crevasses, towering ice blocks, or rock features like the Hillary step, or the First Second and Third steps on the north side. Very cool!

It's not the highest in the sense of "highest above the centre of the earth" though. That's Mount Chimborazo in the Andes.

So in 2023 I ran a marathon AND hiked to Everest base camp. The marathon was infinitely easier than EBC. It’s totally doable but elevation gain is the great equalizer.
