Trev! Get your grass grown and ready to cut. Lease, not buy your baler and wrapper for the first while. Don't be afraid to lease equipment for a short time if you find it worth it. Get your silage game on and sell your bales! First note the fermentation time...don't sell until ready, they'll still be wet grass. That's how I get rich and rolling in the early game.

Canola, soybeans, and peas are some of the most lucrative cash crops. Also, you can spend a little money to cultivate a rice field and then flood the field and use that as a source for free water. You have such a hard time with those trailers because the ones with the front dolly are meant to be attached to another trailer, not directly to a vehicle.
@petrolhead855114 сағат бұрын
Or you can just attach that trailer with the front dolly to the front of the tractor, that way is easier to handle and to move around only when backing up those silly trailers

Loans are in the financial section of the main pause menu. Same button you use to see your crops and stuff there’s a dollar sign icon that will give you a financial breakdown and that’s where you can get a loan. In FS22 and prior games it was $5K but you can go up to $500K
@debonairgaming334819 сағат бұрын
The $500k is just the starting point too. As you expand your farm and have more value added, the loan amount increases. The payments are pretty low once you start bringing in good money, so it's a great way to expand quickly, then you can just pause for a couple months, pay it down, or do what I do and just keep the loan floated for eternity because I'd rather keep expanding things than pay it down haha

Tip: Forage wagons are better than bailing, in forage wagons you just pick the grass up and just unload in bailing you first bail you then load it, needs more equipment in bailing 2) Can use steering assist by holding key H so you can drive hands free on fields!

When you can afford it, invest in equipment for lumber. You can get about 12k per load of wood chips and it takes very little effort. Selling logs doesn't really pay out for the amount of work, but with a wood chipper, it is easy consistent money. Haven't seen the planking yet, but I imagine that pays even more. Weirdly, farming seems to be the least efficient way of making money in Farming Simulator.
@itsjustmylife_xКүн бұрын
It pays more for a reason though, not the easiest to maneuver.

You could always lease equipment like the rollers and stuff. Also taking some of the big fields for harvest jobs are nice because you always get extra to sell for yourself. You could either sell it all there or you can take what’s left and put in your silo (which you can put multiple things at once in) and wait for the best sell month.

The more hours a piece of equipment has the faster the repair bar will drain. That goes for everything not just drivable vehicles. Also if your harvester has a low repair bar you will lose some yield when harvesting. Having damage on your tractors will result in lower horsepower. Damage on trailer or tools doesn't effect anything its basically just visual.

My grass setups is the slightly better bailer that allows 150 cm bales. I run that behind the second or theirs mower it’s green and mounts to front of tractor I mow and bale in one pass. Then I have the cheapest small wrapper that hooks to front of tractor I wrap one at a time and set them off the field to side area to ferment. I think my investment was about 100 k including the bale grabber fork that holds them rather than spears them. The 100 k loan is under 1 k a month interest( I’m maxed now at iver 500 k and it costs me 2 k a month interest). I have currently one grass field the one closest to the road by the cows and it nets me like 15 k 3 times a year. You mow and bale, then fertilize one time and it is 95% bonus
@brycekennedy383513 сағат бұрын
Also make sure each time you cut the grass you fertilize it so you will get a better yield.

Also Straw is a rough cut like leftovers from wheat is the stems from it kinda and it is used for like bedding and Hay is the cut grass like you want but usually it's specific mixes of grass like a lot of hay where I live in Montana has alfalfa in it. But you mow it then windrow it to put it in lines let it dry and then you go flip it and let it dry and then you bail it and sell hay bails. And yes most people in Montana either have cattle ranches or hay farms which is what they call grass fields in this game and they make or can make big money doing it.

Hey Trev, it's amazing to see such an established content creator playing one of the best games available for the first time. Genuinely enjoying watching you play. Little tip if you didn't know, selling lettuce straight from the greenhouse normally gives you a lower value, your best to set it to storing and then physically load up and sell yourself in the month when it's worth the most. My fs22 experience suggests you can lose up to 30% of the current sale value (which is not even the best value) thanks in advance for more
