I love what Lydia said about giving friendships grace. People are too quick to judge someone as a bad person and fast to leave friendships but they will give romantic relationships chances over and over again despite the intensity of the hurt but Not with friend. Sad 😔

I lost 3 friends last year, secret haters friends, two were effed by my ex, Funny thing, its the best thing that has ever happened to me. They were energy suckers, I learned nothing from them; they never made me a better person; they looked down on me so much, jealous for nothing, competition for nothing. It was really exhausting and God removed and replaced. I now have good friends, and I have learnt alot from them. We are making money, and the moments we share are not draining. God will always replace with Better🥰🥰

The abuse part is so relatable. I had this one friend who would get jealous of my looks and constantly try to put me down saying that I am much older than I really am. Also she was jealous of my cooking skills and would not allow me to cook while we were living together saying that I dont cook well. If I ever pointed it out, she would cry and defend herself saying that she always means well, its only her words that hurt

I enjoyed this topic a lot. I had always wondered why at different points in my life I had one best friend after another and when we go our separate ways they get other best friends . For example I had a primary school best friend, high-school best friend and college best friend but they all have new best friends. But I actually came to realise I was not putting in much effort in the friendships after we couldn't meet physically. And one of this years resolution I had was to be intentional with all my friends and to put efforts in them it doesn't matter whether they become my best friends or not . As long as I work on myself to see how much I contribute to the friendships. And I am honestly happy .

I haven't watched you guys in a while and I have no clue about it (responses to a previous episode about Lydia dominating conversation) but minutes 49 - 5-ish warmed my therapist heart! The growth is beautiful to see....❤ I feel that the weight of your conversations differ depending on topic+passion about it, experience, expertise and yes, mood, state of mind, etc. Take the feedback, keep/discard accordingly, as you were. Looking forward to the next one!

I once had a friend that was sooo draining. She wanted to meet with me daily since we were neighbours at the time and when I missed one day she would say I was mean and didn't care about her. Oh and btw I couldn't meet her cause I was in the hospital... smh! She didn't even care to find out about my side of the story... or even care to visit. I realized it was one sided. Good riddance!

Friendship is something we're all trying to figure out. My best friend of more than 10 years and I had a huge misunderstanding which caused me to just end everything. It was about money; which has never happened since we always lend each other and pay on agreement. This time however, she went silent and when I communicated I was stuck, she started playing victim blaming me for not checking up on her to see why she wasn't able to pay. At the same time, I was also having my own things going on. Asked her why she could spend 10k to fix a phone (she gave this as one of the reasons why she couldn't give back my 3k) and couldn't even communicate to me that she'll be late on repayment. She later went on to call me a terrible and selfish friend because I had the 'audacity' to ask for my money back when she was suffering. Lol

😂😂 I find it hard to believe that Lydia does not value other people's opinions and that Joan has no fair chance to speak? when? I have to go back and watch lol because I must have missed that part; But also, I am going to attribute this irk to just having a magnificent mind. This feeling can be attributed to how we are raised and how we are affirmed. I think all my British friends and family are this way but when they interact with African relatives, it comes off as they are so opinionated and overly smart that they think they are always right. But for people who do research and do more homework on things, it is easy peasy.
