Clip Featuring Actor James Saito, The Shredder, from the 30th Anniversary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Cast/Crew Reunion.
Thirty one years ago a small band of wildly creative people came together from around the globe to create a little indie wonder that blew up in theaters all around the world. However, bringing the turtles to life was no small feat. Each turtle required 4 different collaborators: "The Puppeteer", "The Man In The Suit”, “The Stuntman” and finally “The Voice Actor”. All four played an integral part in bringing Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael to life. 30 years later the fans still crave the nostalgia of this slightly dark and sweet tale of four ass kicking turtles and their zen-master-rat-father, Splinter. This video call series tells the untold and never heard before stories of how the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came to the big screen.

They cared making it. :) Absolutely. They got the serious parts right, and the funny parts right. They never made a mess overlapping the two, and they knew the right amount of each. A+++ all the way!

James Avery will always have a place in my heart as the original Shredder (my 80’s peeps will know) but when it comes to live action, nothing can match Saito! It’s like Hamill’s Joker compared to anything live action...there’s entirely two categories!

I will admit that I do prefer the sound of David McCharen's voice as the Shredder. It's just such a deep and intimidating voice. But! Hearing James Saito doing this monolog is absolutely amazing, and he performs is so well. He does make a pretty great Shredder voice.

I booked a small movie theatre in 2012 and showed Turtles (1990) and Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze (1991) there 5 of my friends and me! (via Bluray to projector/beamer), that was awesome to have organized e a private theatre performance! It was the same suburban cinema I've seen both movies in the early 90s btw! :) Cheers!

Am I the only who noticed that the guy who played Tatsu learned to speak English straight after the first movie. His voice was clearly dubbed in the first movie and in Secret Of the Ooze he was clearly speaking with his own voice when he tried to take over the foot clan. Then the Super Shredder appears " I challenge" Tatsu even manages to pull off a stutter "Master Shhh....Shredder"

Shredder in Tmnt 1990 was a true bad ass. A crime leader never got his hands dirty. Had henchmen gave orders etc... I miss that era of bad ass head villains like screwface scar shredder joker t 1000 etc
