@matthewlawton92412 жыл бұрын
The thing people need to be aware of is that this is a grift. Hollywood, and corporate America in general, don't give a hot goddamn about racial equality. This business of only hiring voice actors who match the characters' race is weaponized tokenism, they're PANDERING to you. And don't get me wrong, more black and asian actors get a job? Awesome, it's about time! But you need to be aware of the cynicism behind the political front here. Indeed, it's a very silly policy. Dr. Hibert being voiced by a white guy wasn't the thing that's holding back society from being more fare, civil, and accommodating to people who've been systematically excluded from prosperity and safety. This isn't the issue, cartoons aren't blocking Dr. King's dream. This is a distraction. We're being played.
