TMNT Arcade - Fire! [HD REMAKE]

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up released by Konami as a coin-operated video game in 1989.[2] It is based on the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series which began airing in the winter of 1987. Home versions of the game were released for various platforms.[3]

Thing is take away the nostalgia and it's not that great a game. It's a very basic beat em up designed solely to eat up kids pocket money But my god that first level is absolutely iconic and it gives me chills too.

You can always play it on MAME, or on the Cowabunga Collection.

Or, Arcade1up or Numskull cabinets. But the Cowabunga Collection and the first Arcade1up cabinet and countercades have a remixed song in the first game, but the Turtles in Time 1up and the Numskull TMNT quarter arcade have the original arcade song. Numskull ones just came out, they have both arcade cabinets shrunk down to 1/4 scale with four players each and optional control pads that plug into the cabinets. They are $300 each. They have Nickelodeon on them because Nickelodeon/Viacom owns the rights to TMNT now. But, the games say Konami in them. I think Konami published the Cowabunga Collection because Viacom isn't a video game publisher.

I was 7 years old when this bad boy came out. I played the hell out of it in the arcades. I've played it multiple times with my 6 ye old son now with a name emulator. Game is a freaking masterpiece!
