Nice. Cool to know you can literally connect the control deck to a switch via usb to connect to monitors other than the Arcade1up stock. Obviously, in the case of 'bring your own monitor', a television with audio output is a perfectly workable solution for sound, but splicing the audio input/output is probably simpler, more streamlined, and cheaper.👍

Man this rules. Also that's the best Turtles game I've played in the past 30 years. Good choice in using that art for the control deck. Seems more fitting. Beautiful cabinet dude

Since they just announced they’re release the raw thrills tmnt arcade game and now all the tmnt arcade games are finally gonna be coming home, I saw it as a sign that it was time for me to make a tmnt cab. Arcade1up was the way I wanted to go because of ease of entry, but I couldn’t decide how I wanted to get it done, this video will pretty much be my bible, right down to how I wanted to use the intec deck. Thanks so much for this, sir! Super excited to get it going and maybe even add some support for rare stuff (like my old iPhone that uses physical controls for touchscreen only games so I can play the double dragon mobile on an actual arcade cab)!

@@mattakadanja so I do have a question/concern about the vinyl since you didn't show that part in the vid but,: which vinyl did you choose for the decals at arcaxegraphix? Also how hard is it to put on? At $150+, I'm not trying to mess this up and I have so much anxiety about it 😅😅😅

@Rockmankb Here’s the link to the cabinet graphics I used. arcadegraphix.com/product/arcade1up-3-4-scale-shredders-revenge-graphics-kit/ I watched videos on @arcadegraphix KZbin channel before applying the vinyl. My main takeaway: go SLOW.

Cool to know those tips and tricks about the intec control panel. I have one in my final fight. I decked mine out to be Sega genesis themed but mainly keep the genesis mini systems plugged in. I do plug in my steam deck and switch on occasion as well.

I bet the steam deck really opens up game options for you. I don’t have one. I do have a MAME arcade running on an old mini pc.

@@mattakadanja sure does and one great thing about the steam deck is how easy it is to get emulation station with all the emulators up and working. It’s way easier than a retropie (I have plenty of those, too). The KZbin tutorials to get it done are very simple.

I have a lot to say about this game in general so if you don't want to read this, I totally understand! First off, I LOVE this idea, and if I can one day, I'm copying everything about this so I can have this too. I said this on one of the release day reviews and in 2024 it still holds true. TMNT Shredder's Revenge did the same thing for me that Sonic Mania did. We'd been begging for 20+ years for a return to form for these franchises. Sonic because well, Sonic has nose dived into a river with the vast majority of their 3D offerings, and TMNT because their art style changes were so damn goofy and the stories just weren't interesting anymore. Enter Sonic Mania and Shredder's Revenge and my inner child burst out of me again. I fell in love with both games and have spent many a day just playing with a big smile on my face. I can honestly say, they carry the same magic the original 2D Sonic and TMNT Arcade titles had. Maybe some of it is just the obvious pixel art style, but there's a feel to both games that hasn't been captured since the originals, until now. I messaged Tribute Games and Dotemu just a couple days ago. "I just wanted to take the time to thank you both for Shredder's Revenge. It's been quite a while since release, but that day, I bought a large cheese pizza and played through the whole game with a life long friend I played the original TMNT games with. For a few hours, I got to re-live something I loved from my childhood with someone I originally experienced those memories with and that's worth more than any triple A title could ever provide. I just figured I'd give you all a big thank you for that." This was their response. "Just shared this with the rest of the team 🥹 we’re so happy to have been able to bring you back to the past for a bit with our game 💜🐢" I'll say again what I said in my message. I got to re-live something I loved from my childhood with someone I originally experienced those memories with and that's worth more than any triple A title could ever provide. THAT is the biggest compliment I can imagine giving someone making a video game. And Shredder's Revenge and the people who made it completely deserve it.
