Great laptimes! Definately be faster in better weather

Thank you! Just doing what I can. The cool weather made it tricky to put a clean lap together with how loose the car is

Great lap man how do the hawk dtc pads hold up on the car? Have a csx type s and cooked whatever pads I had on tsx calipers at tmp after a few laps
@BuildinProgress2 жыл бұрын
The dtc60’s have been no problem for me. TMP is hard on brakes so it’s expected you’ll cook them if you do too many hot laps. I use to have the same issue but I’ve changed up my driving style a bit and I don’t have that problem anymore

have you experienced any issues with brake fluid boiling especially at tmp?
@BuildinProgress2 жыл бұрын
My previous car yes absolutely. It was terrible. 1 trip to tmp and brake fluid was cooked had to bleed the brakes immediately. With this build, I haven’t had any such issues. I’m driving differently these days and I’m sure that’s helping but overall no issues. Just running motul rbf660 fluid, hawk dtc60’s, tsx caliper/rotor. Simple setup that works.

@@BuildinProgress Thanks for the insight. Weird because I managed to boil my rbf600 after 2 sessions at tmp. Running stock calipers and blank rotors, gloc r10 front, hp+ rear. Trying to decide on some options to prevent this from happening lol.

@@casperberczynski5606 your best bet will be to move up to the tsx caliper setup. It’s inexpensive and offers a larger rotor, larger caliper, and uses a larger pad. Best budget bbk upgrade. Don’t even both with the brembos people do. It’s basically same thing as the tsx setup but you pay for the styling. Tmp is very hard on brakes. That’s common. Just need to use less brake lol!

@@casperberczynski5606 Toronto Motorsports Park is the most car-dependent track in Ontario. The driver doesn't make nearly the difference that brake setup and power makes at TMP. If you are really struggling with brake temperatures from brakes overheating, one component of your problem is Toronto Motorsports Park being "go, stop, go, stop" with no flowing corners and an overall emphasis on car performance. The rest of Ontario has tracks where corners flow into each other and braking isn't substantial.
