Honestly I wasn’t sure how this comparison was going to go so the final result was surprising. Seeing the two side by side I’m really happy I waited on the FT because it’s truly one of their best figures. I can also see why people would like the XTB and want to stick with it especially because the of the price difference. I really appreciate how you go thru every category and I’ve always thought you’re very far even if I may disagree. It’s super impressive how fast you got all these videos out! I would have prefer the original color of XTB in the VS.....I would say FT is better Quality but both are great for anyones' collection .. Great VS. ✨️😎

Honestly I think the XTB looks great, as usual. Kinda surprising that they lose accessories, because they usually trounce the competition there. I went with the FT because I feel it matches better with Sovereign and Quietus, but they're both excellent representations of Scourge. The second version of the XTB you're showing here is leagues ahead of the original tho! That paint finish really makes all the difference!

I don’t think XTB loses for accessories😅 they split all different accessories into the team of 4. So what we see in this vid is only 25% of the whole accessories. Let’s think, if you get all the 4 of them, how many different accessories there will be? And how about 4 FT versions? We just get the same accessories x 4

@@pandamant666 But that's just for the XTB Sweeps box, right? Swarm I think it was called? I mean for sure that one was cool and gets you more different stuff. I loved the Starscream's ghost accessories. But if you just go for Scourge alone, there's not as many accessories as I'm used to for XTB. Mostly because they're usually absolutely LOADED with them. Which is one of the reasons I love XTB releases. If only their QC and build quality were more consistent, then they would probably be my favorite 3P. I love their sculptwork. Their Springer and Motormaster for example were my favorite versions of both of those characters. But both just aren't built to last and being transformed somewhat regularly. It's such a shame because I love the look of their products, the attention to detail, and the accessories they come with.

@@pandamant666wow I started rambling there haha sorry about that. I did buy four of the Fanstoys by the way, and yeah in terms of accessories the XTB Sweeps pack would have been way better because you get a lot more different things (and quite a bit less expensive too I believe). I mean I'll have all four Powermasters sitting in their boxes, and three of them never seeing the light of day at all haha. But this was one case where I was really keen on getting the FT version because it matches so well with FT's Cyclonus and Galvatron, and those are two of my favorite figures of all time. I really do think both versions look great though!

Was gonna get the fanstoys but then x-transbots re-issued theirs and for the price I switched . The fanstoys looks great but they are so expensive at least the x-transbots version is pretty good too

It's very good. Honestly if XTB didn't have so many engineering and QC issues, I think they'd be right up there with FT because their sculpts are nearly always gorgeous. But as far as I can tell, this is one of XTBs better releases in terms of QC. I don't think you can go wrong with either one of these.

I had the old XTB Scourge and I was going to skip the FT. I broke down and bought the FT. I don't have the cartoon version of Andras, but the old light bluish/teal version, it looks like the difference of HD and a low-definition tv. I don't know how else to explain the FT look but it looks a lot better tbh. Now I am looking at the XTB toon for my sweeps but I am glad that I got to experience Inquisitor. I do not regret the purchase. He is one of the best looking figures I have in my collection, which is a huge collection.

The FT version looks amazing! I already have a couple of Xtransbots Andras figures. I'm thinking about getting this one, and making the Xtransbots sweeps.

Fore sure keeping the XTB as a sweep, but definitely will pick up the FT Version, looks great and it completes the trifecta with Galvatron and Cyclonus.

I agree on every category made in this comparison, even though I have never had Andras. I was surprised that Fans Toys won the articulation, though, since Inquisitor's leg articulation is clearly more limited than most other Fans Toys' figures. That and the limited head articulation are reasons why I am a little disappointed in the figure. But damn, it looks good - in both modes. Also, the engineering of Inquisitor is quite clever, and you can't beat the typical build quality of Fans Toys. That floppiness in Andras that was demonstrated at the end of this video is the reason why generally detest X-Transbots' figures.

I have both of these. Not the cartoon version Andras but the first version. I would recommend the FT all day long. Nothing wrong with the XTB until you see them side by side and the FT is much nicer. My opinion. I like the Andras, also.

The FT version is stunning and close to perfection in both modes. Many of their releases are like really sophisticated stop-motion models, love them. But yeah that price is something else! But I will say it looks every cent of the cost

3 other ones from XTB come with different extra parts, I do like FT better but I don’t think FT wins XTB for the accessories. Most people would get multiple, I’d compare the whole team from both brands

With most of these comparisons, FansToys usually comes out on top, but the cost alone would have me choosing the X-Transbots figure. I also think the face sculpt is superior in the Andras toy.

Personally, Fantstoys always does a better job than X-Transbots and they're usually more fun to transform. Powerglide so war was their only exception. That felt like a X-Transbots release.Not to mention you don't have to worry about all of the QC issues X-Transbots figures always have.

Well. FansToys did have the advantage of having 10 years to overcome XTB's 10 year old design. FT prices are at the ridiculous levels at this point and can't even ratchet the arms in the right direction. XTB 10+ year design still holding the line.

The FT Scourge might be a bit over engineered but I think it does look better. The Targetmaster not fitting in the hand is just a dumb oversight.

I mean, it should look better - it's about ten years newer and proportionately a fair bit pricier. It would be embarrassing to FT if it didn't, it's hardly a fair fight. I think Andras holds up pretty well and isn't worth the £170 sidegrade when times are harder than they were back then, and there are so many other promising figures out this year - but aside from that, there are oversights from FT that would hold him back from being among their better figures. A solid 7/10, sure, but he's not a knockout - and he could have been.

@@sandstormer8386 I thought Andras was released in 2020. Maybe I'm thinking about the T (toon) version. For me the xtb will be the sweep in alt mode, but you are right it still holds up.

Yes @@thetitan914- that was the metallic version, and they did make a couple of small improvements, but it has enough charm to carry it through and there are design aspects I prefer, like the more cohesive wings, which don't have the huge hinges. You can't deny the paint on the FT version looks beautiful but all in all, I think they could have done better.

XTB is 4 years old. I suspect they might do a 2.0/3.0 version after they get their Galvatron released but that's still a good year or more off. For now FT is killing it. They did a great job on this one and they needed a home run with the finicky Powerglide release recently.

How is it that a figure loses in Transformation but at the same time wins in engineering. If the case is that it is a complex transformation, then it should not win in engineering since they go hand in hand. Don't get me wrong, my definitive Scourge is the Fans Toys, but I prefer that transformation with complex engineering to get to that wonderful alternate mode.

I actually wanted to change the transformation point to FT after transforming XTB, I hated the experience but it is certainly less time. That would have made the comparison 10 to 2, even more of a blowout

These 2 are a perfect example of going so far into toon that you start to lose any sense of uniqueness between the 2. From just a visual standpoint they basically look the same to me.

Not sure I agree that the pointy toes are cartoon accurate - the comparison image looks to have non-pointy toes to me! I also find it amusing that when you shook the figure and said "Things flop around" there was nothing flopping around. Must have just been because it was on camera.

Great comparison. For the most part, I agree with the rating. However, what I don`t like about Inquisitor is: a) the underside of the vehicle-mode (not fully closed, and no landing-gear), and b) the visible connections/joints on the inside, and on the top of the wings (Andras` smaller wings on the inside, are almost impossible to see, due to their coloration). Whith that said... My copy of Inquisitor is on his way to my collection, and, as many others, I will keep my Andras, and the Swarm-3-pack as Sweeps.

What a terrible review you make, your fanaticism for fanstoys clouds your judgement, xtb brings a complete stand for the alternate mode and even so you don't give it a point, the serial colors changed, there are episodes where scourt has and you don't give him a point, if the resemblance to the cartoons is from fanstoys, I don't understand why you give an additional point to the face, it should be included in the resemblance to the cartoons, you don't say anything about how unstable the FT, the heel extension looks horrible so it doesn't fall backwards, at this point I stopped watching your video, you are not neutral at all, it's a shame because you started doing a good job, but when you started the comparisons your fanaticism for FT CAN GET MORE WHAT YOUR JUDGMENT.

Tell ya the truth I wasn't gonna touch Fanstoys scourge because of the price, I realized that I have store credit of 100 bucks at my favorite store. For the record I got 8 xtransbots adras including the updated version. I can still get away with getting ft scourge, tell ya the truth I like Andras dark color version better than ft. The feet, I can help you with that....posing it/ A stance your gonna be forced to deal with the feet regardless, that why they designed the feet that way. Andras is the best figure xtransbot ever made
