Hi teacher, this is the second time I am watching all the videos. And I remember you mentioning that the WHOLE syllabus is taking into account that: all the techniques and knowledge are being applied “BEFORE the release to the final client”, which means Before the system reaches the production environment. But here when talking about Maintenance testing, the following statement is on the table: “Well, to begin with maintenance testing, it's just a concept or after-release testing, which is conducted every time we make a common change or any sort of change to an existing application.”

Yes thats right. The entire syllabus is about regular testing but this topic maintenance testing as clearly mentioned is after release is the only to let us know testing happens post release as well. I used the earlier statement for the word failure as many assume that failure is all about product failure into market.

Very good explanation Sir. Clear and concise. Just one bit of clarification, so the Maintenance Testing is done after the code is deployed in production.. so is it 'actually' being tested on production or in prod-like environment (system integrated environment where its almost like prod).. ? I got the answer from the slides.. It means actual testing in production.. "Testing the changes to a system in PRODUCTION...." --am I right? :D

Yes depending on the product it can happen in both the above environment but mostly in production. Eg. Your bank will send you notification about maintenance for few hours and there production will be down.

@@IamKanuKingsley That sounds more so on the personal side, we should be appreciate that he offers these programs to us for free. Finally, all you need to do is go to the previously recorded videos for the previous version in 2023 and use those because its the same information, and others have passed the new exam using those.
