I highly doubt Jimmie only agreed to kill Lorenzen because he was afraid that his cousin would kill him if he refused. We're talking about a man who was already convicted of shooting his girlfriend in the chest and killing her back in 2007. So, I don't see this as being a huge leap for him. What does surprise me is that he already had murder charged pending against him (for the killing of his girlfriend) when he killed Lorenzen. Why on earth would he agree to commit another murder while waiting to go to trial for another murder?? 🤔

The jury should be allowed to know what the maximum sentence is that the defendant is facing because that is the very sentence that this witness avoided by testifying for the state. It goes to bias. Directly relevant to the motive to fabricate. IMO, an exception to the general rule that sentence length is irrelevant and in admissible.
