of all the reviewers on youtube. you have the BEST night tests. your exposure stays the same when you increase the flashlight under test from low to turbo. The video just gets to the stage where it is over exposed. This is the correct way to accurately view the capability of the flashlight. many reviewers have automatic exposure enabled, so when the lumens increase the video camera automatically adjust for proper exposure, this makes low lumens look just like high lumens. I hope other flashlight reviewers learn from you and follow your examples. keep continuing your awesome work. cheers.

Thanks! Yeah, the exposure setting is very important, even at max exposure the camera won't see as good in low light as the human eye, so it should be cranked up and kept constant. The camera and computer screens aren't destined to damage a human eye, so when they capture the brightest levels, one can estimate how bright it is in real life by how distorted or overexposed it looks on screen.

They did a hell of a job focusing the beam on that light. Very impressive.

Cool light, more a search and rescue spot light though than a practical one. I own a fenix rc40 and it's a good balance between the tn36 and the tn40 ,giving good flood and throw.It comes with 6000 lumens now too.

Hi my friend. Great video. I have one more question if I may. I got a camer, tripod, ordered lighting.. Now just the question remains: What do I use to edit the video? (don't have a mac). I heard you can do that in youtube too?
@WeAllJuggleKnives8 жыл бұрын
A lot of computers come with Windows Movie Maker on them, see if you have it or can get it. Yes KZbin has an editing program, it is under the create tab off to the side.

I have windows 10. Not sure if it still comes with movie maker. Will check that out. Thanks a lot. You've been incredibly helpful. I really, really appreciate it!

I like this. No fishing around for batteries and chargers. How many times can you recharge the pack before needing to replace it?

+WeAllJuggleKnives I def believe it :D the most intense flashlight I ever owned was the TN30 with the triple U2s and it was only 49000cd and this thing is over 300,000!! I def can't wait.

Great job at differentiating the specs of these high lumen lights. Candela, distance and IPX ratings are all important when choosing a flashlight for your specific needs. The integrated batter pack is a cool newer idea! Wish it was more of a USB style recharging system, but I'm sure it doesn't work with the size and capability, power this sunlight puts out. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that...especially in strobe! Great review as always.

convoy l6 is best?
@YOUTUBEISRANBYRETARDS5 жыл бұрын
Sherlock morgan not even close. The L6 is not a thrower where as this light is designed for throwing. Throwers have a much larger head and specially made reflector and special placing of the led emitter. The Convoy L6 claims 3800 lumens but it’s actually around 2700 to 3000 range and it comes with an orange peel reflector running on a hp70 low binned led emitter. Even the Thrunite Catapult V6 blows the L6 away and it’s 1700 lumens using a hp 35 led emitter.

This or the Lumintop SD75?
@jimmygrey68488 жыл бұрын
WeAllJuggleKnives The SD75 is $100 less than the TN40 on ebay. Price aside my main concerns are runtime and build quality.
@WeAllJuggleKnives8 жыл бұрын
Oops, sorry! My previous answer, I was looking at the Convoy L6 review LOL. Well now you know about Convoy L6 vs. SD75. Ok, now to answer your actual question. Well in that case, the TN40 does have the edge on the SD75 in terms of both Lumens and range. They are both great lights, my two longest-ranged lights. I would say if range is your main priority, go with the TN40.
@WeAllJuggleKnives8 жыл бұрын
For that price, the SD75 is great, I'm sure you would be pleased with it, it has excellent build quality. The TN40 has about $60 tacked on its price due to its battery pack.
@jimmygrey68488 жыл бұрын
WeAllJuggleKnives Thanks man, I'll probably go with the SD75 just for the longer runtimes. It's for all night fishing trips you see and I hate it when my flashlight goes dead a couple hours in. Plus I like being able to swap out for fresh batteries in a pinch. If the TN40 runs out of juice out on a boat with no way to charge it, then I'm shit out of luck. But I can always carry extra batteries for the SD75.
