In my honest opinion, even though there are some small opportunities in core engineering, they are nothing compared to CSE/IT Banks hire CSE graduates Consulting companies hire CSE graduates Even MNC engineering companies like Sneider Electric are going only for CSE graduates, other branches get nothing Maybe a core engineering degree from a tier-1 reputed college may hold value, but otherwise there is not much scope for core engineering..
