Just a heads up. Barrel length/frame size has nothing to do with being "rated" for hotter cartridges. Chamber support is a much better indicator if the firearm will work well. While all the guns would be fine with this from time to time, using a semi-unsupported chamber like glock wouldn't be the first choice.

The goat of ammunition testing is back. Those low weight/high velocity underwoods are some nasty little rounds. I carry the 68gr +p and not only does it save a lot of weight for carry, they absolutely do what they are advertised to do. Mine are going north of 1800 fps out of my 5” ppq and pdp
@jeffp81116 күн бұрын
Those 68gr +p are what I carry as well. It’s a real thunderbolt of a round and it lightens up the pistol by a few ounces; almost feels like the mag is empty. Though, in gel at 1800fps those 68gr +p have shown to penetrate a bit more than those 90gr +p.
@ToddRitz-pv6hm2 күн бұрын
Yes, substantial weight savings, particularly for those carrying 50+ rounds all day long!

These bullets never cease to amaze me at how well they perform! Seeing shots done in gell blocks is fun to watch on screen and yield results, but the true scientific approach is test shots into its intended target! Flesh and bone. And a few pork hams is perfect! (Plus a BOGO Sale is a no BBQ brainer too! 🥩🥩). While I make no comparison to the late Paul Harrell. Your tests are always entertaining, detailed, concise, and to the point! Great video and job showing these results. This is a good personal defense ammo, if your gun allows it! Thanks for all your hard work. It is always appreciated! 👍👍

I found that the 90 gr 9mm (standard pressure) Xtreme Defender in a Beretta 92FS provides maximum wound channel effect with minimal to zero risk of overpenetration. It makes sense that the +P or +P+ variants in shorter barrels would provde similar results. Superb review and test, as always!

As many have said, so glad to see you back in action and with such good tests on the ammo types that people want to see! UW flying screwdrivers have definitely proven not to be a gimmick or fad. They seem to perform better than JHP in every caliber. I’d even say they have moved 380 up to an entirely different level for self defense. 13 of them in a tiny LCP Max is a pocket full of power. Side note. I have fired many of these through both a base size P365 and the Spectre Comp version and they worked great. Also ran the Penetrators and still perfect performance without anything blowing apart lol. All my Glocks run hot ammo without any problems of course. Just for comparison, since these are being carried by more and more people, would love to see them run again in gel with clothing barriers. And also see your great tests with them in all the other main calibers. 380, 40, 45, 10, etc. They may be some of the most capable and reliable EDC ammo available today. Especially since they are extremely barrier blind. Keep up the good work! And also, I felt that tribute to Paul vibe on this one.
