@@jws1272 My Fair Lady. JA was on stage doing that & Hollywood wanted to make the movie, the Producer did not want JA but got Audrey Hepburn, lovely lady but could not sing. JA went onto win an Oscar for The Sound of Music & In her acceptance speech she thanked the producer for freeing her up for the role of Maria. A polite dig by JA after that she was Hollywood Gold. The producer was Jack L Warner of Warner Bros.

I cannot believe it has been almost 60 YEARS since Sound of Music was released! It has endured the test of time.

wow... what an honour to live in the same era as this legend, the fact that our lifetimes overlap is a miracle. I feel this way about all our elders ♥️✨

Beautiful. I must have watched this movie at least a dozen or more times. Each time just as enjoyable as the first. I loved this so much. Thanks for the memories. So very sweet.

It’s so sad seeing the movie clip and then seeing that 2 of the actors are no longer with us. It was so heartwarming to see this and the ones still alive though!! ❤️
