i remember the time three years ago when i was alone at the extension of our building which was overlooking the whole campus. i was watching everyone go to the gymnasium for a school program when my classmate slash my first and one and only crush approached me. of course i felt kilig and all when he talked to me because we weren’t close friends. we were just joking and being funny when he became serious all of a sudden. he asked me if i could keep a secret, and of course i said yes. he said he has something he really wanted to tell me for so long. being so young and such an assumera, i thought he was going to confess that he likes me. and i was right; he really did confess to me that very moment. he confessed that he likes-or loves-my best friend. i was dumbfounded and ultimately hurt, who wouldn’t be? the only guy that i have ever liked for more than half of my life loves my friend, and not just my friend... my BEST friend! but what can i do? i fought so hard not to cry in front of him and just smiled and supported him, when in fact, i was crashing inside. i was so heartbroken that i nearly decided to ignore the two of them, which i couldn’t because both of them are very dear to my heart. i know i’m a martyr, and i guess i’ll be like this for the rest of my life.
