I've just watched the movie!!! I loved it!!! I think Netflix did a great job👍You should definitely watch this!!! *SPOILER* *ALERT* First of all, I really liked Kitty (Anna Cathcart)❤ she was amazing!! And I'm really happy that they changed the reason Kitty sent out the letters, because in the book, she sent them out because she was mad at LJ for almost spilling out that she liked Josh...like...I mean.... I just thought that the movie did a good job there👍 And I also love Jenny Han's cameo at homecoming❤ But, I wish the movie had more Peter and Lara Jean moments!?! Is it just me?? I feel like everything happened too fast?!? Maybe not....I was way too excited and it was so much fun that I probably didn't notice....? I'm so rewatching it...👍 And OMG John Ambrose McClaren!!! I thought that he would be in this movie because of the trailer but he just appears in the end!!! I hope they make the movie for P.S. I still love you!!!

Thr 33 So I read it a long time ago but this is what I remember: Lara Jean is a high school student (16? Not sure) and half Korean, her dad's white yes and she has 2 sisters. Peter, the boy who appears the most in the trailer is her first kiss and now she's in love with Josh (the boy next door and also hes sister's boyfriend). So when the letters come out, she obviously doesn't want Josh know bc of her sister, and so Peter (who wants to get his ex back) and Lara Jean pretend to be dating. The book is really funny, so if they don't mess up with the movie it should be pretty cool :) Oh and what I told you is like the synopsis, no spoilers😂

I understand where you're coming from but that definitely is not always the case. I live in the UK and I know plenty of pretty girls/ good looking boys that got absolutely no attention in school because they weren't considered 'popular'. The 'popular' ones were usually the sports playing boys/girls and those who went to/hosted parties. Also, in the books Lara Jean is pretty (Kitty calls her the 'pretty sister'), but she's extremely socially awkward and just hides herself away. She's scared of love/ doesn't feel the need for friends and is happy just sitting at home and is only forced into coming out of her shell due to the letters being sent out - when she's forced out of her fantasty world and into reality. It's only then does she realise what she's been missing all along. So I think it is pretty realistic she would be ignored at school as she also chooses to ignore people.
