Hi , I have purchased all your books , watched your You Tube channel and I think they are fantastic ! My only issue on a more personal level from someone who suffered from PTSD and health anxiety is that with all the information I find myself "ruminating" trying to search for the perfect answer to protecting my health . Now this is partly due to my mental health problems but how do people process all the information without coming to a point where rumination starts ?

Simply take action & be consistent. There is no perfect way, everybody is different. It will be trial & error with what works with you.Yes all the information & possibilities can be very overwhelming, you can't try everything at once - maybe make a small list of potential things that that resonate with you & try them for a couple months or so, then re-evaluate & drop the things you feel haven't jived with you & add other new things to try... All the best

Your channel is helping me return to habits that served me well. Strangely enough, I was more consistent with a morning routine when things were going terrible for me. Once things were going very well, I fell out of the habit. This video gives me pause. I need to seriously consider intentionally building a morning routine that helps me reduce "micro stress doses". I truly believe that during the day we're "pinged" with these through the news (mostly bad), email demands, etc. If I can structure myself to be "strong" or more resilient prior to the start of my day. I need to stand guard at the door to my mind. 11:34 is such an accurate description of most mornings. I'm getting better and don't look at email or news in the morning, and I focus on drinking my first liter of water and engaging in positive self-talk, but this is an excellent reminder for me to write out my schedule for my morning and day, that should include self-care. This video is very helpful. What helpful reminders and techniques for I to choose from. Thank you for this.

I understand , Nitika.😢 I know about isolation and the problems that brings. Try to communicate with folks : this internet is like a window on the world 😊🌎😊. Pen pals make safe connections, and who knows, might grow into long-term friends, even if not there physically ! ☺️. We humans are basically social creatures : we feel bad if isolated, for whatever reason : spouse-neglect, disability, etc... At least with the modern technology, we have a small way to offset the damaging effects of isolation, when we are trapped by circumstances..... If you are "mobile", try to get " out and about" a bit : try to find folk with similar interests .... still a lot of nice folk out there.... Try some of Dr. Rangan's ideas, they all make sense. ☺️💕🇬🇧🐕😊🌎

I just have to say that I got compassion wrong. I repeatedly gave certain people (close to me) a pass on poor behaviour by knowing it comes from their own pain/fear. Knowing it is not personal against me. The mistake was giving the pass, not the compassion. I kept being hurt by giving the pass, as the poor behaviour was not addressed until I just got to the point that I would rather not see the person than be hurt again. In the two instances I am thinking of, the person is unable to acknowledge their part in the dynamic, and I just can't put my energy into them seeing their part. So I am keeping my distance.
