Yup. I got a buddy who I've been friends with for most of our lives, and now he lives halfway across the country in seminary. We're accountability partners for each other, checking up on each other once a week and just encouraging each other. Every week we ask the mandatory "So, you meet anyone?" So far, neither of us has found the one. But we keep praying for each other and growing as Christians. Anyways, I know this song will speak to him like it does to me. God bless❤

Dear Genevieve, I can only think the only reason you haven't become a worldly star, is because God is protecting you. Because truly, your voice is not just a gift, it's supernaturally anointed. I cannot listen to any of your songs without being moved. That is not something all singers do. But there are lines that make me think you know them already (am I losing you again) very thoughtful, gorgeous song Genavieve. Very beautifully written as well. As close to what I think an angel sings like too.

Hey Genavieve, Quick note on this one: This song, and your performance of it, is brilliant. You are a frequen flier in my daily playlist and every once in a while a song will make me stop and really pay attention. This is one of those songs. You have done so many covers, I just assumed this was "another cover". (No shame there, of course, because you have outdone some of the original artists, in my humble opinion.) But I was delighted in looking for the writer, to realize that this is a Genavieve Linkowski original! Wow! I will just say, again, this one is brilliant. Well...just wow. What a great song... a great melody, memorable, singable, and lyrically beautiful. Longing for a person by singing to someone who isn't there....just beautifully told and creatively compounds the emotion. Also to note, given your abilities, the control you exercised in order to serve the emotion and message of the song was terrific. Being from Oxford I have followed closely your work and family story and this song is just so powerful and deep in many ways. Your voice has also matured and has a new depth and timbre to it that I don't recall as much on earlier recordings! Keep up the amazing work Genavieve, such a gifted artist!....EDIT...2 hours later...I think I have listened to this 5 times already and have a nice fingerpicking arrangement on my acoustic guitar.
