Little note on Line of Sight for anyone new here: LOS is weird. Here's what the cheat sheet says about it: Most ghosts will gradually increase their speed while they have line-of-sight (LOS) on a player up to a maximum of 1.65x their base speed (~2.7m/s). The full speedup takes thirteen seconds of LOS. After breaking LOS, the ghost will maintain the increased speed until it reaches the last known player position. If it does not regain LOS at this point, the ghost will very slowly lose the increased speed All ghosts have a standard thirteen second LOS speedup except for: Revenant, Hantu, Deogen, Jinn, Raiju (Around electronics), Mimic (depending on what ghost it is mimicking), and Thaye

Jinn has normal LOS if the breaker is off. when it's on and the ghost is farther than 3 meters from a seen player, it goes at a constant 2.5 m/s, the same speed as a raiju around tech both the Jinn and raiju technically have LOS still, it builds up and once the criteria for their abilities is lost, they go to that speed

On the "I don't give out 10s bec there's always room for improvement." I understand the mentality, but with business reviews, it affects people. At my job we get bonuses based solely on customer reviews, and only perfect scores get counted. Last quarter our score was really low, so I did a deep dive into the surveys. Almost every single one was "Great service! No problems! Quick and easy experience! 4/5 stars!" We had no idea what to do to improve the scores. Well. We didn't bonus last quarter because of that mentality.

On the 10/10 thing: Anyone using that and saying "anything that's not a 10 looks bad" is most likely using Net Promoter Score and most likely being mismanaged in how it's intended to be used. So if you get one of those surveys, for the love of anyone working in retail/service just give them a 10. I don't care if there's "always room for improvement" because management sees a number that isn't 90-100 and punishes employees for doing so. I'm sorry Impulse, but that attitude is what got me to lose out on potential bonuses on multiple occasions. Please just give a 10 if the service was fine

If you get one of those “How happy are you with your experience” (or however it’s phrased) surveys after a visit, everything other than a perfect seven out of seven is weighed the same. There's a better (though riskier way) of testing for yokai. Yes they do have an ability that lets them hunt in response to people talking a lot but during hunts they have... below average senses (or at least hearing) so a way to test would be to be in a hiding spot then talk, most ghosts would immediately hear you and beeline towards you but a Yokai has to be much closer to hear you, so it can be a good indication of yokai if it doesn't react to you talking during a hunt.

I think the way to get around the coddling accusations is to not tell them anything before going in, and instead wait for them to ask you. And don't stick to Professional for too long.

53:29 how come they NEED a crucifix to do the onyro test. I know that it has to blow out the candle 3 times, but shouldn't they just be able to listen for the hunt after the third time?

I think maybe just habit? You can test without the crucifix, but it requires standing close enough to the ghost's spawning spot to see the candle, so you risk getting taken out by the ghost if it's NOT an onryo and attacks while the candle is lit. There's also a second onryo test, where an onryo can't initiate a hunt while in the range of a lit candle. If you put down a cruci in the same spot as the lit candle and it goes off, you *know* that the ghost spawned within the candle's range and so *can't* be an onryo. But if the ghost starts a hunt without burning the cruci, you know it was out of the candle's range and so you can't rule onryo out. (The only exception is the tier 3 crucifix, since its range is slightly larger than the tier 3 lantern's range). You could try to do all this without a cruci, but it'd be less reliable, because it'd be harder to tell definitively whether a ghost started a hunt within the candle's range.

Careful talking about Twitch predictions; those are gamba lite™ Note that unless otherwise specified by the prediction maker, be they mod or streamer, predictions use only channel points. They are usually a "will this happen?" type thing that can have a simple "yes/no versus", or an array of options for things like... If you or one of your friends get caught by the ghost in phasmo during the round, or get the ghost right before leaving as an example. Or it could be if you're doing something risky in minecraft, and might be killed (like doing some PvP with your friends) viewers can choose a prediction outcome before the event takes place, and see if they make out like bandits, or lose their hard earned channel point wallets. So the comparison to 'gambling' is very apt, you see. 😅 In a way, they're good for a certain type of audience retention/high interactivity that might populate you on the front page of Twitch for a few mins, but as you might expect aren't so great for being more 'family friendly' leaning.
