To/Die/For - Like Never Before

Holy crap - flashback. I did all of the VFX work on this back in 2006, 3 weeks of tracking and 3D, one week of comp. 96 shots and very little sleep. I built the entire environment as one singular choreographed space and offset animations to time the shots but f*cked up on one or two - I wanted to show more destruction behind the band but the shots cut away to something else and didn't have time to re-output it due to the tight deadline. Also it looks poor due to the lack of defocus in the close shots - didn't have time for that either. Band were happy in the end, producer happy. We got paid.

I wasn't there for the shoot as I was on holiday in LA at the time. My director said the band were good fun and constantly drinking, but the drummer wasn't happy about the prop kit - it was way smaller than what he was used to "This is a f*cking toy".

Admiral Azzariel i read online their original singer left after album IV then went and formed a new band with ex TDF members and TDF got a new singer. however the new band took back the name and kept going.

Why people compare the sound of To/Die?FOR with HIM?! The only thig left common bettween the bands is their country (and the ex-keyboard player). To/Die/For are a bit heavier then HIM and moreover they play the same since they exist. That's a BIG difference with HIM. Don't misunderstand me - I like it, but it's getting a bit boring.
