Saw Linkin Park, Metallica and Fred Durst live in St Louis many moons ago. Linkin Park was over modulated and generally sounded like they needed to fire their board guy. Metallica was there going through the motions and put on a half assed show compared to the other times I had seen them live. Fred Durst hit the stage and burned that f'in place down. I have never seen anyone with as much energy and enthusiasm for a crowd as he had, and that day convinced me that he is a true performer, and is definitely in it for the crowd.

2015... The last moments before smartphones took over the planet completely, the dependency already existed but was not yet fully established. Crowds as excited as this one at concerts were on their way out and we didn't know it.

Regardless of your attitude towards LB, you have to give in to the fact that the teen spirit piece was pretty explosive...

Yea i noticed that in a big way. Ssriously explosive you see that crowds response?? That song is such a banger. So much energy and intensity was put into that song you have to jump when you here that riff and those drums together. If you love rock music, you have to love smells like teen spirit. It was literally the last legendary rock song we've had

@@TheJumpRopePreacher When people say they suck i always say: it's easier to write a dream theater or steve vai song than a "simple" but genius, worldchanging immortsl 3-4 chord riff. Players who can come up with that, especially more than once, have an intelligence regarding what to do, what not to do, that can't be attained by practice. Give a regular guy enough time and hard work and he will probably get good at shredding though.

The Legendary Kurt Cobain will never perish. These rock artists would never be where they are now if it wasn't for Nirvana. it's good to see these bands haven't forgotten that nor have their fans.
