➤Dyson Sphere Program Info:
Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure, exploration and factory automation elements where you can build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch.
In the distant future, the power of science and technology has ushered a new age to the human race. Space and time have become irrelevant thanks to virtual reality. A new kind of supercomputer has been developed - a machine whose superior artificial intelligence and computing capability will push humanity even further. There is only one problem: there isn’t enough energy in the whole planet to feed this machine.
You are a space engineer in charge of a project launched by the space alliance COSMO, tasked with a massive undertaking: constructing Dyson Spheres (a megastructure that would orbit around a star, harnessing all its power and energy) to produce the energy that humanity needs. Only a few decades ago, Dyson Spheres were considered a hypothetical, impossible invention - but now it’s in your hands… Will you be able to turn a backwater space workshop into a galaxy-wide industrial production empire?
Neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants, gaseous and rocky planets… There is a big and varied universe out there, waiting for you to gather all its resources.
Every playthrough will be unique: your universe will be procedurally generated every time you start a new game. There will be different types and distribution of stars, planets and resources. Will you manage to thrive and build your Spheres, no matter what the universe throws at you?
As a space engineer, you are expected to design your interstellar factory and production lines, not to micromanage every small package going back and forth. You have to transport materials from one planet to another, forming interstellar transport teams that gather resources and bring them to where they are needed.
Then, your resources can be transported between facilities through conveyor belts, and you’ve got the technology to help your buildings fit the grid automatically during the construction process. You’ve got the best tools COSMO can afford to build a massive-scale automated production line - the most efficient one ever seen in the universe!
- Build a galactic industrial empire from scratch: start with a small workshop and improve it until it spans the whole galaxy
- Develop your very own Dyson Spheres, a megastructure that orbits around a star harnessing all its power and energy, from the first screw to its completion
Explore a vast universe procedurally generated with all kinds of celestial bodies: neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants…
- Gather resources in planets of all types: ocean, lava, desert, frozen, gaseous planets…
Research new technologies to improve your factories… and discover the secrets of the universe
Build mechasto fly, sail or jump through outer space and alien planets
- Transport materials across the galaxy to your facilities: thousands of transport ships will flow endlessly to your factories and back!
- Design the most efficient automated factory and production line
Customize your factory and Dyson Sphere to make it unique
- Design a balanced power network capable of producing energy in all kinds of power plants like wind turbines, artificial stars, etc.

For transport, the first INTRAplanetary tower is quite useless (only got 3 slots and on same planet). 2nd one is the real interplanetary tower you want with transport vessels AND local drones, with 5 slots! 3rd tower is the gas giant harvester(so more gather than transport actually), which you place on the equator of the gas giant, then setup demands on a 2nd tier tower and collect
@hquest
@hquest 3 жыл бұрын
I would not call it "useless". You can move a lot across the planet with those towers. And makes it look much nicer than the spaghetti of conveyor belts :)
@chouseification
@chouseification 3 жыл бұрын
Alex is right: far from being useless, those intra-planetary transport hubs allow you to set up nice neat discrete factories for each desired product - set up demand slots to provide any required inbound materials and supply slots or belt to interplanetary(interstellar) tower if that product only is used offworld. Instead of dealing with the hassle of belts and trying to feed all of your lines from some common snake bus, have each miner cluster produce sheets (although for iron make sure at least one cluster goes into magnets) and dump those into a supply tower to the local planet network. Other factories on that planet demand their ingredients, so those metal sheets go to where they are in demand. Lots as needed, no worry about some bus having stalled out because you accidentally removed a tile. You will of course need a bunch of drones to fly around delivering supplies.

It also appears placing buildings gives you soil as @ ~ 26 mins you received 7k soil with the placement of the “chemical dohicky “
@Anson_AKB
@Anson_AKB 2 жыл бұрын
@@richardwestmoreland5612 both is correct: buildings are placed at sea level, and thus land is automatically leveled down and you suck up the soil. but when trying to place buildings "on water", this is not done automatically and you need to first build platforms yourself which uses up that soil. soil seems to be a global/universal resource, making it possible to level an entire planet that has almost no water and get lots of soil from it to be used on other planets.
@hellrazor9665

Biffa, the terrain tools that you use for creating land on water will do the opposite on land: they give you soil (if that piece of land is higher than “zero altitude”). So you can easily get tons of soil. Just try it on most green land patches. It shows how much soil you get or spend when you hover it with the mouse

Hey biffa, remember, panels on the poles are highly affected by planet tilt, rotation and inclination. watch for the "seasons" the poles will go through at regular intervals and plan accordingly. but as you've already done. a ring around the equator works wonders and is highly reliable. My equatorial ring is 3 panels wide gives me plenty of power.

When you're looking at the planet resources, the rotational period tells you how long a complete rotation/day is and orbital period tells you how long a complete orbit/year is. Also as far as getting soil you just have to flatten "raised" ground with foundations cause they are programmed to set the surface to a specific height.

Now I'm thorn between these vids and the City Skylines series :p I got the game thanks to you (I looked for an affiliate link but could not find any...) and trying to figure it out as I get along... For the gas giants I saw a tech like "Gas Giants Exploitation" and I assume that will allow you to build something as indeed you can't land on them... Space travel needs some improvements though... I had to reload a savegame as I could not figure out how to get back to the planet after I missed it (by the way, you can accelerate to travel faster but I recommend to decelerate in advance or you'll miss your planet...). Take care

To get loads and loads of dirt, just find a good sized bit of land (so if you go to a desert planet, literally anywhere) and select the biggest foundation size, then just click, hold, and drag around every which way. I did that on a bit of land near my base and got 160 thousand soil in a few seconds. Get a LOAD of foundations though, like a few thousand at least. If you want to pave large tracks of land you really need to mass produce those, which isn't a problem as they're very easy to make of course. For gas giants, when you unlock the orbit collector i believe it's called, fly to the gas giant, then fly into it and "land" which means you start hovering like when you walk over water on the normal planet. You can only place them at the equator, so keep that in mind.

To figure whether or not a plant's poles will remain sun-lit in both 'winter' and 'summer' to provide power year-round, check the "Inclination" reading on that info screen. The more inclined a planet is, the more the difference in solar exposure at each pole as the seasons progress. A Zero inclination will give the same exposure at either pole, no matter the season. The greater the number, the more the north and south poles will swap exposure as the year goes around.

Commenting before I finish the video, so sorry if you change it later in the video. The conveyor belts in the titanium and copper smelting set up, they can go straight in to each other, you don’t need to use the splitter as you only want one output line. If you had multiple directions you want to send the items, then a splitter is needed. Hope that made sense?

The concept of 'malls' & main buses ala Factorio is pointless in DSP. It is certainly of some use early-game but once you've researched Intra/InterPlanatary shuttles, it becomes redundant. Simply build compact resource 'hubs' & use the platforms to shuttle those resources around to wherever you need them. Also, looks way cooler with shuttles flying everywhere instead of spagetti-run rails everywhere :)

@davesym 3 жыл бұрын
Best place to make a Mall would be on Mator IV, the flat red desert planet. The near absolute flatness is the ideal, and you'll accumulate soil as you place buildings down and flatten it more. It has most everything you need to make the basic components, and thus the buildings. Only thing it doesn't have is Oil, which you'll need to make more complicated things, but you should be able to setup interplanetary delivery by that point. That's what I'm doing, anyway. I have a different seed, but my starting system also has a flat desert world.

Your posting time translates to this being right atop my feed each day when I first open KZbin. Pretty much guarantees I'll watch before getting ready for work. Well played, I'm hooked

I'm excited! Make the mall! Also make the intraplanetary logistics so you don't have to bring the diamond thru a spaghetti. And make the interstellar logistics to bring titanium! Please make longer vids!

Maybe read over the guide about flying again. It is a tad odd to control 👍

My response to seeing this video in my notification box, "oooo Yes!" which is odd for me because I normally don't verbally announce my excitement sitting by my self in my room. lmao

This game is alot of fun. I really enjoy the traveling between planets. Ive missed landing on a planet and it took several minutes to get turned around and land on the planet. So much better than just clicking on the planet and being teleported there.

The game looks like a lot of fun. Only thing I would wish for were if all the mines etc. would actually consume the planets and make them smaller the longer the machines are running.

Also, I believe spacebar in solar sail mode will accelerate you. Then when you let go of spacebar you’ll maintain the speed that you accelerated to.

Love your channels and this series, I was one of them people that suggested to use the poles for sunlight. Make the intraplanetary logistic tower to transport items across the planet. It holds 25 drones at the start and can demand, supply and store 3 type of items. Then make the railway and ray to get star light energy with the solar sails, only trouble is that they only last 3mins so you have to constantly replace them till you upgrade them enough. Automating that is the easy way round it.

Theres a video on storage tips, it shows goods come in and stack from bottom upwards in storage chests, when extracting from chests it removes from top chest down.
