I would like to say one thing. These women; they may not have the best voices or the best confidence but they sing from their hearts and with passion. What these women give to singing and this choir is something others choirs could never achieve no matter how many rehearsals. The majority of their husbands are in Afghan with them constantly waiting for that knock at the door bringing bad news so if they can get up on that stage and sing with guts like that - they have more guts than any of us!!

A beautiful song, beautifully sung. Yes, Dylan does write love songs. And I'm not sure he would mind its use in this context. 'Masters of War' clearly shows he had no quarrel with those who fight wars, only with those who start them and make money out of them. Addressing himself to those 'Masters of War', he sang: "You hide in your mansions, while the young people's blood flows out of their bodies and is buried in the mud". Precisely what is happening to our troops in Afghanistan.

The song that they sing at The Royal Albert is truely better and well done Sam for the solo. I hope a lot more songs are coming from this fantastic group of people. This song was good but personally the one for the rememberance show was better. Both brought tears to the family as we have a son in the Royal Marines Godbless all the families here

Things like this just reinforce the veneration of the army. Yes, the situation they're in is horrific, but that does not make what they're doing automatically heroic or right. The burden of responsibility, of course, ultimately lies with the government and the decision-makers who control the armed forces, but the troops have a responsibility too. If they don't agree with the war they're fighting then they shouldn't be fighting, and if they do then I don't agree with them.
