Just realized Ankle is a certified basement dweller. Enjoyable video as usual. And if it helps im studying veterinary and between corpses and shit you do get used to the smell. It never gets rosy though. But hey hopefully it will smell normal again soon.

Yeah, I remember attending a post mortem and the smell was something else. Several med students had to leave and throw up mid session. Formaldehyde smell in preserved cadavers was interesting though, it makes you oddly hungry which is more than a little disturbing. Guess in veterinary school you don't have as many pre-prepped specimens... the smell must be way more potent 😮

Only thing I can suggest is getting a LOT of baking soda and just put trays of open baking soda everywhere. The tabletops, shelves, chairs, etc. Baking soda absorbs smells in the air. They sell these little boxes you can put in your fridge to absorb smells. Though... it sounds like you'll need more firepower than the little boxes can provide. Hence: The trays. Alternatively, you can just put trash bags and spread them as much as you can before pouring baking soda into the bags. You want thin layers of baking soda to get as much exposure to air as possible. If the floor is something you can put a rug over if it ends up looking bad, and you can ventilate your basement reasonable easy, I also recommend taking a moderately strong acid like cleaning vinegar and just putting it straight on the dry floor without diluting it. It can damage wood, exposed metal (like the edges on knives or scratches on metal surfaces), and such... but... raw sewage smell can be hard to get rid of and acid usually does the trick. After letting it sit for a few minutes, usually about five to ten (more five for wood and ten for concrete), then you can pour in some water around the edges before pouring more water in towards the center to dilute the cleaning vinegar. Then mop up until mostly dry and point a fan on it before letting it ventilate for a good two to four hours (Some surfaces will be fine after two hours, but others are better at absorbing liquids and the acid will be harder to get out). After it's completely dry on the outer surface itself you can dust it with a light coating of baking soda to absorb some of the vinegar smell and remove some of the residual acidity in the area. A few hours later you can vacuum up the baking soda on the floor. To remove the baking soda on the floor, I recommend either a shop vac due to their wider tubing or one of the hand-held vacuums that don't have tubing between the storage and opening.

Sorry about the dwelling buddy. :/ there are really affordable long term remedies to buttsludge smells (easy google, but I recommend baking soda packs directly in front of every output grill and return if you have one down there (you better have a return), tho I know HVAC is less common in your neck of the woods than mine), and patience is your friend. One day you’ll walk in and realize the smell is gone. As a basement dweller, I recommend after carpet is gone, just put rugs where you spend your time in your space. It’s easier to remedy if it happens again. I’m here for you and all your ventures in the future, and have officially been watching you for ten years. Love you buddy, stay strong. Edit - by our rugs I meant I recommend not putting absorbent flooring after the carpet is gone. Concrete floors + vintage rugs = happy place

Sekiro is a game I'm hoping to get around to as I never got to finish it either! (I also never got to play Lies of P or finish Lords of the Fallen). I love FromSoft games a ton, and I want to do a lot of playthroughs of them in general. Vanilla, modded, challenge runs, speedruns, anything of the sort. They're incredibly fun and relaxing to me! The new channel will have (ideally) 0 League of Legends on it, I don't plan on fully abandoning this channel for a little while to come still so there will still be some league content to come, at least until I just get too tired or just decide it's not worth the frustration of dealing with some aspects of it.
