My this month's TBR is only four books (I'm a beginner reader and I want to read one book per week) My TBR is, Things we know by heart by Jessi Kirby, Echo in Time by CJ Hill, Erasing time by CJ Hill and lastly, FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell. Next month's TBR is HP and the cursed child (it is on its way. I ordered it online) and the other three books in the shatter me series. So that's Unravel me, Ignite me and Unite me. So that's 4 books this month and next month :)

Book prices in Australia are terrible (my poor bank account!). Good luck with your schedule! It's taken me a few years to finally get back into a proper reading habit after starting teaching full time, but once you get into a rhythm, it's not too bad. I've knocked off 6 of my August TBR books, including Illuminae which I originally found out about through your videos (so thank you!!!!). I've got Eon, The Magicians and The Knife of Never Letting Go to read next.

My TBR is to read Nevernight when it comes in on Tuesday via Amazon (fingers crossed), Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (I haven't read the series so people tells me that I really need to, so I am :)), My Lady Jane, This Savage Song, and I need to finish up Passenger and Since You've Been Gone (I'm on last few chapters for each book). I hope I can make it. Good Luck on your semester!

I adored The Edible Woman! It's Margaret Atwood's first novel written in the sixties (pre-modern feminist movement and sexual revolution) but it still has a pretty resounding impact and relevance to today.

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child ! It melted my heart !!!! made me all nostalgic and emotional ! ahhh I hope you will enjoy it , I know some critisized it for being different from the previous books since this is made as a play but it really got to me and if you're a Harry potter fan as much as I am, you will get what I'm telling you when you'll read it, I advice you to keep reading it, you'll finish it in no time
@dudette7681
@dudette7681 8 жыл бұрын
i actually don't understand people who critisized it for being different, because J.K.Rowling was very clear since the beginning. We all knew that it was gonna be different. but i feel like some don't wanna understand that it's not the 8th book, it's not a novel, it's the 8th story written as a play. anyway i'm really happy to hear you enjoyed it, i can't wait to get my copy and read it. i'm soooo exiiiiteeed, and i'm pretty sure i'm gonna love it.
@YasmineArt
@YasmineArt 8 жыл бұрын
Exactly ! unfortunately, the copies are not available in our bookstores yet so a very awesome person uploaded a pdf file of it and I freaked out ! especially with Harry Potter I will NOT complain ! But I still want to have the book in my hands to complete my collection *-*, anyway I promise you you won't regret it, even if you haven't read Harry Potter in years, it will bring you back to that first time that you read it and to the same feelings you had while reading it, with all the characters that we grew to love, ahhh, I stop here don't want to spoil anything for you, I made a review about it on Goodreads because, it was impossible for me not to say anything about it (and I tried to make a video but I'm still not confortable with the camera xD), especially after reading people's reaction which got me confused. All I can say is, you will see Jk Rowling in every page of the book, have a very good read :)

I'm reading Aurora Leigh, and plan on getting to Giant Days vol 2, The Lowland, and Not if I See You First this month. I thought Aurora Leigh was just gonna be a collection of poetry, kind of like Ariel, but instead it's more like a story written in verse~ So I'll read the other books in between sections of Aurora Leigh, and hopefully get done that way~

I just finished The Cursed Child today and I surpringly enjoyed it ! I was kind of scared to dive into it but if you don't consider it as the "official 8th book of the HP series" (because I personally found the ending perfect), it's a fun little adventure. Some things were a bit weird but it's HP so I was able to look past them haha. I just don't like the fact that it's a play because I think it's unfair for the HP fans all over the world who won't be able to see it but oh well, that's how it is

ambitious plan...I'm read a bit od the slow regard for silent things as a sampler for his writing even though the book says not to and enjoyed what I've read so far :D In regards to what my top thing is TBR wise it will definitely be Mars the Manga, The Lotus Wars & finishing off a few series; although reading will take a backseat due to TAFE starting up again and collabing with people on stories :D

I feel you on both still having not read the Slow Regard of Silent Things and also on how damn expensive books can be. I really need to re read the Harry Potter books. I finished The Order of the Phoenix right around the time I stopped reading ( I think I was about 8 and the book recently came out) so, I never read the rest of the books. My to read list is so long now that I never get to the Harry Potter books as I'm always looking for something different. The book that just made to the top of my list (I started reading to today after I finished Burmese Days) is The World Without Us by Alan Weisman because I'm writing a post-apocalyptic story and I need to read it for research I'll end up taking about it when I get my booktube series off of the ground..

Just finding it annoying atm. Team Jem tho! I am pushing though to read Clockwork Princess & finally finish the series. Yup our book prices suck! i tend to buy on my ereader now & buy the book online if I loved it & want a physical copy. Can only seem to get hardbacks online anyways. I had to convert $28 australian dollars to £s so I could understand the scale of how expensive that is because thinking of a book as being £28 is absolutely abysmal haha. It's just over £16 and that is still a ridiculous price. The most I've ever spent on a book is £15 on a 600 page graphic novel.
