Thanks so much for posting an early Moore TTTT with the mod set. This is my favorite period. I really enjoyed this.

This is my favorite version of TTTT and certainly my favorite set.

The theme music for this version/era is the best! Quite the late 60’s/ early 70’s fit. Love good ‘ol Johnny Olsen voice too!

I agree, after all, the greatest To Tell The Truth theme & Garry Moore was the greatest To Tell The Truth host period.

A quick trip to Wikipedia reminds me that Gene Rayburn was born Eugene Peter Jeljenic in 1917, in Chicago, Illinois, to Croatian parents!

I remember this game well.I was a kid, so I'd watch it during summers and if I had the flu in the winter. I wonder if the Slavic guy and that woman are still married.Gene Rayburn sure looked young.I recall that Doodle book from back then, it was in those book clubs that were advertised in magazines.Of the 3 women segment where one married a foreigner, the black haired gal in the center looks like she'd be age 15 or 16.

He's one of my favorites, too. In fact, five of my faves are on this show!

The year 1970 was a transition year for spec styles. People wore everything from “granny” glasses to horned-rim. Peggy’s glasses here are a combination of Pinz-nez and horned rim I believe.

Taped at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway.

Yep! This show was taped at CBS' Studio 50 in New York City and it remained until 1971 when the show moved to NBC's Studio 6A at Rockefeller Center where Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show" is taped. During the show's first 3 years, it had a familiar psychedelic set to go with it. This set was used until 1971 when it was changed to a much better set with blue and pink.

+Musicradio77 Television Network I have been in both studios. I attended a taping of David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater in 2009. I also attended a taping of Conan O'Brien in Studio 6A in 1995. Jimmy Fallon's talkshow is actually taped in Studio 6B (across the hall from 6A). Beginning next week, Maya Rudolph and Martin Short will be taping their new variety show in Studio 6A. There's a video online of Maya and Marty visiting Studio 6A. Just google "Maya Rudolph Martin Short Studio 6A".
