The sharp-tongued banter between Peggy Cass and contestant #2 at 6:36 - 7:36 is absolute gold.

I always liked Peggy Cass and Kitty Carlisle and Garry Moore was my favorite host of To Tell the Truth.

I was an imposter on TTTT in 1972 with the same panel as episode #1. Unfortunately I never got to see the show and don't know what episode it was. I imposted a fellow named Ken Brock who had flown a gyrocopter across the country. Do you know how to locate a video of it? Interestingly enough, imposter 2 in episode #1 is Dick Craven who I met in the summer of 1971 when he was hitching a ride back to NYC from Martha's Vineyard. That's how I ended up being on the show.

When they first did a close-up of the Nixon look-alike, he also kind of looked like John Larroquette when he was playing Dan Fielding on "Night Court".

This episode reminds me of the ploys TTTT would use in the 1960s. There is an episode where the cast had to guess the real Bette Davis and the impostors were Kaye Ballard and Pat Knight. Does anyone know the episode where Betty White was the impostor for Miss Turkey Legs? It was in the early 1960s.

At 17:52 the audience snickered because it sounded like Garry said "We'll start with pig" instead of Peg

As they were walking over to sit down I thought 3 looked most like him from the back.

Is that the same Garry Moore of the original "I've Got a Secret"?
@RayNDeere8 жыл бұрын
Yes. Goodson/Todman asked Bud Collyer to host the syndicated version, but Bud was ill (and would die in 1969 on the same day the syndicated version debuted). Garry was then asked and he accepted.

Nobody could replace the great Bud Collyer.

Bud had his style, but Garry did a good job. Show only lasted a year after Garry left and Joe Garigiola took over full time after Garry's cancer issues.

It's actually his twin Larry Moore, Garry had taken ill so Larry assumed his identity. A well kept Hollywood secret

Mr. Dixon sort of looked like Nixon, but didn't sound like him at all. I'm betting his career was short lived as an entertainer.
