Dave Palone’s surname will have raised a smile with anyone familiar with Polari. It meant woman in gay slang. And this version of TTTT makes me want to run back to the familiar safety of the b&w version with Bud Collyer.

Was the 1980's version for the US and was it a coast to coast show? For some reason I thought it was from Canada but I could be wrong. Maybe that is why Polly wasn't mentioned.

It was from New York but it had a Canadian Host.

Dave Palone doesn't want to tell the whole story. The fact is that Dave scraped Pete Rose's cheek with one of his overly vigorous fingerpoints. That's what sent Pete into defensive convulsions. It was an inadvertent transgression on Dave's part. But Pete had every justification in pushing back in the heat of the moment.

Polly Bergen appeared frequently on the 1980-81 revival with Robin Ward as host. How did they all forget that. Funny that when Kitty came out, she lost her footing a bit. Almost fell back off the platform.
