Looking at the comments, I do watch one of these shows every night to relax me. I am a baby boomer, but I don't remember this panel. I like this time machine. The civility and intelligence and wit. And I like Monique Van Vooren.

In the introduction to the Congressman/magician, the announcer made reference to his performing magic tricks with Sen. Estes Kefauver. However, his connection with Kefauver was not alluded to thereafter. Does anyone know what his connection with the one-time extremely famous Kefauver was?

double clutching to me is; quickly stepping on the clutch switching gears each time. with your other foot on the accelerator to go faster or braking to slow down quicker. was nice on my 66 Chevy ll straight six, three on the tree. (steering column), I am spending a lot time discovering these gems of shows. everybody be safe!

Game 1: Great responses to Polly's 2nd question. Would love to see a few politicians disappear today (ok, more than a few).

Two routine things I noticed on this show. The panelists left their ballots on the desk--I am accustomed to seeing them place ballots in front of them with number showing. Also, Bud concluded with "Good night and good luck." I always expect him to say "Good night and God bless you." It is really fun to see these old shows.

I forgot that Uncle Kenneth was on this show. Just kidding. Monique was more than just a pretty face. She could speak 6 languages and either could read or write two others. Carvel ice cream was great back in the day.

The laugh was because of the wide geographic spread of their home states. The young man from Georgia already had spoken and answered several questions before that one with no response from the audience.

In the second segment the true contestant tried to fool us by acting like he didn't know the right answer (hot water), although he gave the right answer I don't like the deceptive way in which he told the truth.
