@@kentduryea1741 Thank goodness for KZbin. I have rediscovered some of the great tv shows from back in the day. Recently, I started watching The Rifleman with Chuck Connors on YT. I watched them as a child when they were syndicated to local tv stations. Watching them again today, I am amazed at how good they were, especially the quality of the stories. They had great writers in those days. The audiences were also different. I think to tell a good story you need a good audience, an audience who can understand and appreciate a good story. P.S. I enjoyed M*A*S*H too, but it just wasn't the same after Wayne Rogers left.

Round #1: The book by Helen Klaben (Kahn), "Hey, I'm Alive," was made into a TV movie in 1975 with Sally Struthers playing Klaben and Ed Asner playing her pilot. For those interested in either the book or the TV movie made from it: please notice the correct spelling of Helen Klaben's last name.

+519DJW Hi, there! *Thank you* so much for updating the information here. I was a bit shocked that they weren't making as much about her courage and how horrific it had to have been being so close to death. Watching these shows (along with I've Got a Secret) come from a time ranging before I was born to 10 years old. I can very well remember having to go to bed, but staying on the upstairs steps to eavesdrop. Of course, my parents knew I was there; but didn't let on. :) P.S. It is so nice to watch these two classic shows since I don't watch the garbage on TV, movies nor modern music. Tired of all this political drama as well.

Wonderful, but on the 3rd game #1 did give it away, but I knew before that, when Peggy asked about Vaduz....and #2 & #3 said Austria, and it's the capital city of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Well, it was #1--but Peggy Cass's pronunciation of Vaduz was way off. If I had been one of the contestants, I wouldn't have known what place she was talking about. Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, is pronounce like "Faduts."

On the syndicated show in the 1970s, the first man gave the WRONG name, so the other two followed and also gave the wrong name, even though they knew it was wrong. Garry Moore made them walk out again and say the proper name. Of course, everyone knew it WASN'T the first man who was the real person because he was the one who screwed it up.

Round #2: The first imposter identified himself as Jim Brosnan. Was he the former MLB pitcher who wrote 'The Long Season?'
@loissimmons65585 жыл бұрын
I wasn't sure if he said "Jim" or "Tim". Anyway, it isn't the same person as the former MLB pitcher and author. That Jim Brosnan stayed in the Chicago area at the end of his playing career. He had just retired as a player before the 1964 season because his last team, the White Sox, put a clause in his contract that he was not to write any more books while playing and he refused to sign the contract. The pitcher and author later on appeared on TTTT as himself (not an impostor) on 6/13/66. I don't know if that one has been posted so I won't disclose how the panel performed.
