I think "let's play" is the whole experience. Creating a world and making a story with it. Not just farming and not just building, but CREATING!

I will probably explain this badly, but what I'm getting from this series is not you playing as a creator but you playing as a player. Doing what feels good, going at your own pace, building stuff, doing trading to get gear. But you're not pushing farms or breaking your neck to get to the end or ticking the boxes on all the big in-game goals. You're having fun! Another content creator I like, TaterVater5 is doing a similar thing right now and it's really taking off. I think people are tired of the "must-dash, must-do, must-get" approach and are really liking seeing something that mirrors a little of their own gameplay. I know I am :)

Love the idea of the building series. There are so many different tutorials of farms anyone can look up a farm. The daily building videos is always a love of mine.

A 24-minute pack with 16 minutes of daylight and 8 minutes of dark would be a lot of fun for Minecraft. A little more realistic with every minute representing an hour.

What I recommend is when you start getting a bigger accumulation of iron is to replace the torches with lanterns for a more decoration/aesthetic

Lanterns are also one of the librarian trades, and it's a useful thing when the supply/demand mechanic bumps the price on the thing you're usually trading for.

Yay. Another video. I'd call your furnaces an auto smelter. I'd think a much bigger system would be "super". (I've built many auto smelters, but not ever a super smelter.) I'm bothered by that fence gate bug. I can understand why, but I doubt I'd leave it. I'd probably just make it one gate on either side. I hope your mom's surgery went smoothly and that there were no complications. (My mother-in-law had a successful surgery on one knee that went great, but the second knee was the start of a whole bunch of problems that are not worth mentioning.) I think that what you are doing is definitely more of a let's play feel. Everything you are building and doing fits in with the typical feel of the game. Things are relaxed, not rushed, and you are simply working to make and improve the village you have settled in. Some other videos seem to rush into being much more exploitative of the game and it's mechanics, which is fine, but it does not have the same "live within the world of the game" that you've taken with this series. I think a pack adjusting day/night would be cool. When you first started talking about it, I think it would be cool if there was a pack "like alarm clock" where you could set the time the clock woke you up. Looking forward to seeing "part 2" of this build in the next video. Hope you have a great rest of your day. ~Cam

I feel like I also started with farms and then it has progressed to be more and more about building. I think my goal is to be able to build an awesome fully connected world like Fwhip. I think my style of play is more like Pixlriffs, building a farm or something along the lines of progression or when new things come out and then building a cool world around those features. If my solo world is half as cool as either of them then I will consider it a success

12:00 Yeah the random block placing is annoying but it is good for bridging/building downwards. If you look over the edge while crouching to place a block in front of you but keep the place button held down and then look directly down on the block you just placed it will place a block directly underneath. You sometimes need to move around on the block for a while or try again but it works most of the time. Then you can break the first block to stair down so can save pillaring up sometimes. Probably didn't explain it well but hopefully it helps :)

Heh, that gate... I always do 3-wide roads, and several major versions ago in Java, the gates attaching to the the blocks beside the road would be at that lower level, but the one in the middle would be higher. Drove me absolutely bats, but at least it was symmetrical! Re the sun thing: sleeping wakes you up not at dawn, but after the sun is strong enough to burn the undead. Re Let's Play: For me, it's about exactly that; just playing. No particular focus on redstone or farm tutorials; not on building, landscaping, or detailing; but rather literally just whatever comes to your hand to do. So I like to see the exploring, the resource-gathering, the quick-n-dirty builds, the inevitable how-did-that-death-even-happen interludes... Whatever it is that makes it fun for you, I want to see that happen. Dangit, I'm pretty sure there was something else I wanted to say, but I've forgotten what it was, or why.

Great video again and great question. I’ve actually asked myself that question of why I watch KZbin in general and Minecraft specifically. I found I have a couple answers. KZbin in general I watch what interests me or strikes my curiosity (eg: cinema therapy (psychology of different movie characters), dog, whisperer, and MythBusters (nostalgia) and funny gaming KZbinrs like Vanoss and crew (though their stuff is not as interesting as it once was to me at). ). As for Minecraft it’s primarily the entertainment value of the things you get up to such as watching you and jenfire deal with a bad shopping experience on TB😂. Or a solo player attempting say a trial chamber in hardcore like TizzTom. Or random funny things like random damage…or random bugrock 😂. But I also realize it’s a great way to get build ideas and tips in playing Minecraft. Like I wouldn’t bother attempting some of the farms you build but others definitely. In short I’m more of a story kind of person but also curious of odd different things. As for mad packs, just my preference but I don’t feel like I can relate to mod packs since I don’t have access to most other then market place. And I’m not interested in spending money. So I generally prefer vanilla. I’d still watch you. I’d just kinda switch off in regards to mod packs since stuff. One of the reasons I don’t watch Java content
