That opening was pretty good. The leaders can be super funny when they choose to be.

President Benson, he always had the tenderness of a loving friend, while encouraging you to do better.

I am so grateful for Grandpa Benson's inspired counsel to the Father of Zion. Our homes and communities and nations would benefit from heeding his prophetic words. He actually practiced what he preached.

If every father in the world listened to and acted upon these prophetic words of this wonderful prophet of God, our world wouldn’t be in the mess it is today .

This is so like my White Mtn Apache father when he spoke of our roles in life. Married 43 yrs and still cherish my temple experience. The Lord does answer prayers

He was the prophet who signed my mission call. I was just getting my drivers license when this talk was given, now I am a grandfather of three and married 28 years. His counsel is just as applicable today as then.

President Ezra Taft Benson signed my Mission call as well. He was a Prophet of God. I love and miss him with my whole heart and soul. What an amazing servant of The Master.

In April 1986, I did not SPEAK the English language and I UNDERSTOOD PRESIDENT BENSON, word by word ,I was in Salt Lake, IN GENERAL CONFERENCE ... YOU can take ADVANTAGE of my experience, the WAY I heard PRESIDENT BENSON is the best way to read a lot more and retain a lot MORE

Great talk! It helped heal a lot of wounds I got as a child and teenager just by hearing what God expected of my dad. Quelled a lot of anger towards him, and showed me some of the things he did actually got right. I love my father, but I knew he was missing key things and idk why this talk helped me, maybe because I’m glad God expects more of men and that I guess I found out my anger was justified at the time I felt it. I’m glad the prophet talks to men like this. One day I will be a mother and know what to expect of my husband, and what God expects of him. Love this talk ❤️

Today alot of young pp. would work& go to school& forgo having children. I, never had children because I, could nev. financially provide for them. Motherhood, is the greatest calling ,as if Fatherhood; but this was prob. 1985& things were MUCH cheaper then#####
