Yes! I'm sorry I don't like the new stream LP's all cut up format. I get that it's easier to just sit down and stream and have Dan cut it up (not mention all the donations that come in during a stream and then plus ads on the uploaded YT videos) but I miss the old style LP episodes. The charm they have.

YES! IT'S FINALLY HERE! To The Moon was absolutely life changing for me in high school, it did a lot to help me come to terms with being autistic and realizing that I wasn't a reject, that I could find love, and that people could understand me. Every game in the Sigmund Corp franchise I absolutely adore. But Impostor Factory is _wild_. I cannot wait to see y'all's reaction to it.

LET'S GOOOOOOO IMPOSTOR FACTORY TIME :D Your playthrough of the Sigcorp series (which I watched due to someone mentioning it in a mail video!) is what got me into the series, and collectively they hold a spot in my top three games of all time! I played this when it came out in 2021, and now seeing you play it really feels like a full-circle experience! Very excited for this one! :D

This game is so wonderful. The entire series is great. If you want more, I highly suggest playing Rakuen and the new Mr. Saitou. They were made by Laura Shigihara, who made the song "Everything's Alright" for To the Moon, and they have very similar emotional gravitas and great stories. Different gameplay wise, but lesser known examples of the emotional RPGs that Freebird Games has been lauded for creating.

This game makes me think of a story about a mad scientist that wanted to create killer monsters that can look *and* act like any type of animal to try and take over the world, but the only think that leaves him at a real disadvantage is that he forgets that the strange sand cat he captures for inspiration for killer monsters that can look and act like sand cats has the ability to sing and make magical light rainbows in the sky when it's night time.

What story is that? One of your own? Take it that this was a special kind of sand cat, which by being the inspiration was a bad example of one, leaving an opportunity to thwart the mad scientist. Either these powers weren't able to be replicated properly, or they could but they were the tipoff to the monster being something unnatural in the end.

And yes, it was an idea to make the sand cat special because when she makes a sound resembling a bark, it comes out like a harmonic sort of sound, almost like the sound of a dog singing and other sand cats think it's still a unique example of one that has a rare quality that other sand cats don't, even though the mad scientist completely forgets that. As for the powers for the monsters, the mad scientist seems to hate that monsters that can look and act like animals can even exist. So he thinks; 'If no-one believes me about the monsters I may as well make them.' This gives the mad scientist a skewered understanding about what the special sand cat can do to all his test subjects.

The scientist took an approach into something he wasn't fond of just because it wasn't considered to be possible publicly, so it's an apparent advantage. But he either misses something about the cat's being-there or fixates on it to the point of losing the mimicry flawlessness of the other monsters?

@@runningoncylinders3829 Yes. It convinces other experiments that it's okay to act uniquely from standard animal behaviours. Soon, the scientist sees that all his experiments are doing something others would never have witnessed before. "Well, what a new encounter." He says. The standard animals soon realise that their impostors are acting uniquely and realising that working for their master is very difficult. So that's why the experiments are teaching the standard animals that it's okay to be different.

@@supertigress9124 That's a cute ending for how intense the setup is. I enjoy that. Makes me think of Mewtwo's clone army to show clone superiority, he himself a cloned being, learns to see the good in individuals even after being experimented on. Mew is a pretty special cat-creature. Reminds me of that movie the most.
