In this episode of "Terra Invicta": American prosperity! Lunar industries! Research beelining! Interplanetary expansion! EU growth! The Resistance manifesto! Assasination preparations! And government manipulation! And Earth size manipulation!

When Pravus brought up the Expanse, I had to shout out an agreement. That series is great, and the events of Ceres Station are *pivotal* throughout the entirety of it. 12/10, can easily recommend to any sci-fi fan.

And the TV series is actually a pretty good adaptation. I prefered the adaptation of book 3 the the original telling. that said, season 4 was atrocious compared to book 4, so its a trade off.

Unless I’ve seen it wrong, the Initiative had two cracked Control Points in Canada. If you see a control point that’s cracked in nations you’re interested in controlling and have enough admin cap, you should immediately do purges. Especially later in the game it gets progressively easier to purge if points are cracked down, so it becomes essential to protect your points from crackdowns, since by then if it’s cracked, it’s lost.

Mostly because he conquered Canada first in Ep 1 then abandoned it after getting USA. Havent played the game so I dont know how long crack down state lasts but his interests in Canada has already been fulfilled

skipping Luna is a terrible idea because the boost cost to build up anywhere else is insane. Using luna to get the majority of the space resources allows a much more rapid expansion onto mars and then belt and other planets

Well, my pitch for this game is one of 2 things: 1) It's a Stellaris Primitive Species Simulator. Or 2) What if you played XCom as the Spokesman instead of the Commander.

Just to head off some suffering that is likely to arise without spoiling anything big, once you utilize more than about 80 Mission control, you will experience some suffering that maxes out at 200 mission control or so. Be careful about that. Also, you can sort your sciences by category so it's easier to parse the list. You can also set resources to show monthly rather than daily income in the settings which is great for readability. Point defense is really effective at protecting your stations and bases from aliens and space debris for a good while. Letting the aliens succeed at attacking your stations and bases gets them to cool off.

Once you've launched a probe you can keep track of it by clicking on the body the probe is heading to (like Mars) and looking at the bottom of the planet's window on the left side of your screen, right above the name, in this case above MARS it stated "Survey Completion: 25 November 2025" when you were asking about when the probe was going to arrive there.

7:00 IMHO one of biggest BULLSHIT in this game. You should be required to make supply lines, both you and the aliens, not just have Earth and non-Earth. Hopefully this gets heavy patched, it instantly killed my immersion. This would open up cool strategies like disrupting enemy logistic lines since they too have to do them, and you could maybe outmaneuver more powerful fleets by using partisan tactics. It also opens up endgame potential to resist them on Earth by suppressing their boost from earth and destroying their supply lines so that invasion ground forces get isolated. Would be extremely cool if there comes a DLC later when the tables are turned for those factions trying to eradicate you figure out where they are and try to invade their system (or several) and for those fleeing you get to replay system after system where you try to flee or crush them in that system. You start at the previous level of technology and get a head start in the system.

An explanation for why space resources are overall just 'available' but not from earth is cuz earth has an atmosphere and hence the massive issues getting stuff OUT of the planet's grasp, comparatively speaking if you have the resources from the moon where you literally needs miniscule amount of lift-off to escape the gravity of, say, the moon, or an asteroid, etc. No atmospheres there either to really worry about. Same with Mars. And since you have nuclear powered freighters, it's simulated you have basic mercantile shipping happening.

I think everyone's take on loyalty monitor is wrong. Like every other stat, loyalty goes from 0 to 25. Putting on the loyalty monitor means you'll have to inspire a few times to make up for it but then for the rest of that character's life you won't have to use an action to check his loyalty. It saves you action in the long run. And I find in the 2020s early 2030s you have spare actions anyways while later you often have no action to spare to check loyalty.

0:27 "attention to dtail" so simplifying the map by merging small countries together like the Benelux, Baltics, Illyria and Balkans etc,. is attention to detail? No, it's not I'm fine with the baltics and Benelux mostly since politically they're all in the EU, all in NATO, etc so it doesn't really make a difference but Austria and Switzerland being combined is a crime against anyone claiming to have "geopolitical accuracy". Austria is in the EU, Switzerland is not.
