To The Well is a short film following singer and song collector Peia Luzzi as she explores her ancestral roots in Ireland through Gaelic language, culture and song. Along her journey she reckons with the history of trauma and colonialism within the Emerald Isle and finds hope in its resilient culture.

You have a beautiful voice like a fine bell. My great grandparents came from Ireland on my mother’s side. The family never spoke of it until my cousin did the family tree. I have been to Ireland four times now. What was incredible and very unexpected was the strong, and at times, overwhelming resonance I had with the land. One time alone on the way to Dingle something spoke to my heart it was a lady who told me to stay and for a time I did. It felt like a mist had surrounded me and cut me off from my where I was born. Then something else came into my awareness a terrible sadness that was echoing from the past. I felt it was from the time of the famine and the troubles. I felt this strongly in Dublin where I couldn’t stay for more than a day. Ireland is the most beautiful place. The land almost drives you to your knees in awe. 🙏🏻❤️🍀

This was beautiful! Never been to Ireland, but as I'm from Croatia, there are so many Croatian people living there. I know Croatian family whose kids are learning Gaelic language in school. That's so useful and worthy. I really enjoyed watching 😍wish you everyone all the best☺️🥰🤗💚🙏
