Young man, I've seen many tiedowns in my life, bit I have never seen your method! Glad you made it without major problems.

So relieved you took Equal down to Adamec! Glad you arrived safe! Watch Matt Laidlaw’s video on how to properly tie down each individual Harley Davidson as someone else commented as well. It’s one of his many excellent vids! Wood Nation Broette! 😊

I never seen a bike tied down like that bro 😂…but you got it done!

Wood I strap each handlebars equally and then the rear wheel just as you did and it works out great. It’s hard to even the left to right and I sometimes tend to pull it left since I add the left side first. It’s scary at first but you’ll get better as you do it more often. Blessings to you and Wifey .

Wood you have to strap each side of the bike equally. This means you use all four tie-downs and four straps.

Good video bud yes I’m still around just took a mental break but I always strap my bike down between the forks and the wheels

Glad you made it there safe and sound. When I strap my bike down I get the highest and sturdier points on my bike then down to the lowest points on a trailer.

Is there any particular reason you went with the home Depot trailer instead of the U-Haul trailer?
@dtthomas45012 ай бұрын
Recommend putting a pad or cover on the back end of the bike between the ramp and the bike since your bike is very close to hitting or rubbing up against the gate. Which could potentially damage your paint, bags, or pipes with jousting around that normally happens when trailering.

Noooooooo sir on strapping Equal ever again like that bruhhhhhh 😅shocks and fork paint wheel paint all at jeopardy 😂

It’s advisable to tie it down from the bike frame. I would suggest watching Matt Laidlaw’s video on how to properly strap down a bike. He’s got some great tips.

I fully agree! When it comes to Harley Davidson…….He’s the Man! 😊

Never seen a tie down like that bruh. Yeah my bike never been on a trailer either.

Glad all went well. If you're going to do more trailing of your bike, gonna need wrapping straps and there are some retractable ratchet straps that are strong enough to tie down the bike. Higher point on the bike are better served.

Next time Get you a Condor wheel chalk ( talk to your man Robert ) You strapped the bike on the kickstand, you never want to apply any more force on it than needed. Its designed to hold the weight of the bike up, and thats it. Also, keep bike up right and strap down on both sides equally. Use the front downtubes of your bikes frame or front forks. Back straps are just to keep bike from kicking one way or another.

I normally loop the strap from the bottom of the right side of the handle bars to compress the front end down and then do the left side. Don’t over compress and blow out seals. Then I go off the rear foot rest brackets to the back of the trailer. I trailer to Florida every march and with the weather from Indiana I definitely am not riding the 1100 miles.

Did the tailgate scratch the paint on your pipes?

Your bike is sounding like mine did when the intake manifold warped, I upgraded to a metal intake and I have an extreme air filter on my bike.

So how long is your trailer and turn your wheel maybe it would fit better , just saying , I’m not an expert and one day I might have to trailer my bike

I know you've got skills but strapping down bikes? My dog straps itself to my leg better than those straps that are securing your wheels, lol Enjoyed the video!!

You trailering that bike didnt feel good.... Please watch some videos... had me nervous from the first strap... really need a front wheel chock... and 4 straps.. bike should stand up straight after tieing it down.. 2 straps on lower forks... 2 straps on rear... maybe passenger boards or crash bars..
