So my theory with Bon checked out… I think. I thought Bon could “see” everything. Just like he said the previous episode. So I’d figured Bon could see the “Mr. Black”. I wonder if those two will ever speak to each other 😮

This was my favorite episode so far. The storytelling is really subtle this season compared to last.

My theory is the reason God doesn't tell him he could be because 2 thing: a. of course he needs his powers of different people to fight off knockers b. There's a huge precaution of reviving the dead especially of how human behave through time especially through overpopulation. Especially with how timid and child like fushi's emotions are, he might disrupt rules of nature very heavily. That's what I theorize tho. Edit: I feel bad mostly for Fushi this episode even tho everyone have their moments. People think just because he's an immortal being everyone expects everything from him without ever thinking his burden and loneliness

I still don't want Fushi be with Kohaku. I cannot see him like that way. He is no different from his ancestors. He is just trying so hard to be with Fushi like others. Actually I might be hating him. Stay away!!!

Nah Kohaku is actually a pretty decent guy, weird sometimes but not a inhuman monster like hayase that would kill anyone that tries to get close to fushi

@@mimi20101942 A bit of a spoiler You are absolutely right. For example the unnamed boy Fushi first met did cross over to his family and to his own paradise as we saw it at the end of episode 1, and therefore yes, Fushi can't bring him back. The whole reason Fushi never discovered this ability because the only time he duplicated himself was when he was caught by Hayase, and Fushi duplicated the boy, who as I said earlier, can't come back. Would Fushi have duplicated any of the people whose Fai(soul) is still there, following him around, this information would already be known.

@@Dontfucklewithdashuckle I read most of the manga and yes. You’re right but (BIG SPOILER ALERT) I completely forgot how exactly it worked and forgot some important dialogue/plot points. I was very confused how Fushi revived her when they BARELY met. So I was wondering if this episode rushed through a lot but maybe they didn’t ? If they didn’t then no wonder Fushi revived her. Idk why I misremembered that Fushi had to know her well. Turns out he just needs to meet them once & for them not to cross. She didn’t so she was able to cross back

Fushi's power is scary. It's hard to tell yet if the girl Fushi "resurrected" will age like normal human, or whether she'll live for 100's of years or be immortal. She may never age but it may likely be possible for her to die (if killed for instance; or if her body gets damaged for whatever reason). It's also possible that the girl is a "perfect replica" or a clone and isn't an actual resurrection. There are many possibilities. What will happen to Fushi when he finds out though? There will be tons of people asking him to resurrect someone. It may be extremely hard for Fushi to decide who to resurrect. I mean, what is he gonna do? Resurrect every person he meets? Will he resurrect the young ones only? the unfortunate ones? Gosh, it' so hard being Fushi!

So these 200 years include the time Fushi was in the island ans Hayase was founding and developing the religion, I suppose.

25% of the way through this season of TYE already... I really enjoyed reading this volume by volume last year after season 1 ended. I'm glad the studio change hasn't gone and ruined the adaptation. There's still the potential for production quality to drop off later, but so far it's good.

Finally my theory was confirmed ! I was so happy when I saw that ep ! The things I have been waiting to see , and OMG it’s there . Always thought Fushi could revive people , but I think he can only revive the ones whom follow him , March , Gugu , Tonari , Ligardo (the bird) and the bear . Since we don’t see the others so they are in the paradize , the unknown is Piolan ? Where is she ? She rejected paradise to but in a useful form for Fushi ( I think she might have become and ORB !! From the scene with the back robe god) . Or her and some other could just be somewhere else like Tonari that visited Bonshin idk , and could return to Fushi ? Now for the Pink haired girl (Anna?) I think her soul was around and since Fushi knew her alive he could create a « fresh » body witch he corrected due to it’s regeneration , so he could revive ppl other than his close friend in the condition their death is recent and their souls around . . That’s all ah ah Nice reaction vid as all the time , I was eager to watch you see this season 2 ! I will check out your other show coverage ! But only after I’m caught up to them ! Mob / CSM . i actually had this theory a while back about fushi being able to bring people back but at the cost of him losing the ability to turn into them again. at this point i have not continued the manga so i don't know if im right or wrong. we will see how this unfolds. this show is one of my favorites and it's underrated.

Me Again ! So why God guy doesn’t tell Fushi he can literally resurrect his friends huh ? Well you remember Fushi can’t turn into Alive things , only dead one , so then if they are made alice again he wouldn’t be able to turn into them and thus limit his « poll » of bodys , witch allow him to fight and survive . But maybe he could convince Black dude , to let hi resurect them so they would fight alongside him , so he can’t have them get stolen from nokkers and if they get killed he could just resurrect them again and again , (well get killed over and over isn’t great , but I think at least Gugu and Tonari wouldn’t mind becoming immortal warriors for the sake of Fushi !

A lot of implications with how we've seen fushi's powers work, immortality, and bringing back the dead. If they live again and die of old age, will fushi only be able to turn into their geriatric forms? I can keep going through hypotheticals, but I'll just wait and see where it goes

I feel like this would be frowned upon. Like, the man in black, and others like that, would say something like, "Doing something like that messes up the balance of the fundamentals of the universe." Or something like that. Like someone dies, and they just get back to life, then there is no real consequence of death, or there will not be that much reason to live. And then it will be a whole thing that, just because he could, doesn't mean that he should.

6:09 I think its less he'll be a bad King and more that his brother is even more philantropist and caring than him. Bon Bon's best bet might be to go found or marry himself into his own Kingdom. 8:39 So I assume the recently dead or those whose ghosts stick around can possess the vessels-shell bodies created by Fushi. But I wonder is it really his daughter or the "Man" that Bon was talking to, Bon did say he was talking to a man(ghost) that vanished soon after the daughter came back to life and we know ghosts take the form of the person they were in life. So is that King embracing a different ghost masquerading with his daughter's body?. Would a different ghost possessing a body have their own memories, the memories of the person that had the body, a mixture?. Thinking about it again, the man he was talking to was probably one of those his two guy ghost friends. 10:50 "Ah, love between two men. Very good" Bon is a Yaoi fan, confirmed. "I don't think of Fushi as a man" Straight Kohaku cope(Tho, Fushi would probabaly not have a concept of gender as we understand it). "She hasn't noticed her femininity yet" has the same energy as "its not gay because ______" 11:12 I think its best to just not think of what gender Fushi identities as at the moment, his very nature kinda breaks that as a useful category. 11:16 Turns out they're both wrong. Fushi is Doll(that looks suspiciously like that recently resurrected girl)sexual. And Kahaku's still coping. 11:22 Wait? Todo's a girl?. I though he was a woman initially, then we were told he was a girl and I though I was trapped and now we're told that she's a girl and thus I have been trapped and reverse trapped again. Pacoa's face when hitting that table reminded me of Pop Team Epic and also reminds us that Children are annoying. She really would make a great Tyrant. Anyways that and 13:07 kinda spoils Bon's whole "Ah, love between two men" comment a bit but I guess its kinda part of that whole theme of this half of the episode about Fushi, a character without a "true" appearance or sex. Anyways, based Bon saving Fushi from the body pillow life. 13:15 Bon respects Dollsexuality, like a real ally. Anyways, I kinda like how the show shows from time to time the more little ways he still remembers his friends by talking about Marche at a time like that. 12:48 I assume that since the doll kinda looks like that princess he couldn't save, its like a solution to his dilemma of being close to people, an undying friend that would never be taken by the nokkers or other death. Also, Marche liked dolls. 12:12 I think a way to look at this is Early Germanic or Christian Monarchy, where in the former the King is like First among Equals of the Nobles who are almost always considered his companion and in the later the King is higher on the hierarchy but is there because of God's providence or election and not because they're especially special. Either retains the King's hierarchical position over the masses while also trying to main the worth of the masses or maintain the King is fundamentally of the same nature or kind as everyone else. 13:35 Based Fushi, rejected Novels all his centuries of life for technical books. Fushi's an Engineer and I respect fellow Engineers only.

18:20 I think what's happening is clear, that spirits can possess recently constructed vessels by Fushi, I assume especially so if its a copy of their own vessel. So they won't be immortals. But I agree with the 2nd reasoning, its too much on Fushi's plate to be capable of resurrecting everyone and decide if they would want to resurrect them or not. Fushi already has so many issues giving him anxiety and depression, no need to add more. 20:26 Reminds me of the scene with Todo-Iris. Bon should know exactly what it feels like but I guess its the nature of man to still just act out like that. 21:05 I think the reason Iris is satisfied with that is simply cuz, well, she never stood a chance, he's a prince, it was never gonna happen and she's accepted and internalized that fact, aside from that I would probably consider it unhealthy and definately not how Bon should have taken any rejection from Fushi, he instead of course should have still taken it maturely and shit.
