Toaster Bag Making

Today my wife n me making a "TOASTER BAG". It's easy in leather part but if for whom not used to work with fabric lining might be a little bit more time to work on.
This project we use Hard Veg Tanned Leather/ 2x Zipper No. #05/ Canvas in 8 oz for lining/ Fixed length strap/ 0.55 mm. Linen thread/ John James No.04 Needle/ 4 mm. pricking iron/ contact adhesive/Juki Ls 341-N/2x Zipper Puller/ 2x D-Ring/ 2x Snap Hook

Hi gus, Beautiful bag. I was wondering, instead of hand stitching, do u think this bag can be stitch using a cylinder arm walking foot machine? I donno if it gonna do the gusset to body leather nicely.

For the exact pattern, it cannot be stitch with cylinder arm. (Need to make a mod of pattern). But if post bed arm with wheel/roller it will be easier.

For the thickness of veg tanned leather is 1.8 mm. or 4 1/2 oz.

Hi Heidi. I use JUKI LS 341N for cylinder bed sewing machine. And for supply of each videos is good, thanks for your suggestion. I will try my best when I upload my next coming videos. Some of my tools are local and no brand, but sure I will. GUS

I didn't thin down the contact cement (the dilute liquid here is quite super stinky), I just open and close the lid very fast in tight tin can. :)

Hi Carla. In Bangkok there's lots of shop supplies for bag making so called leather street "Charoenrat Road". But unfortunately, most of them don't have international sell or website. Probably you can look for some supply at leathercrafttools.com from Japan.

For the interior lining you can use leather too. The thin and soft like goat or lamb skin. The bag will be a bit heavier.
