It's extremely dangerous if not worse to say certain things that makes a person like that feel like there isn't a point of getting the essential proper treatment to save more people (lower recidivism). I knew Shawncookie, when i was in the eddsworld fan movie project. They were a animator and artist for the project if i could remember. How ever, i was not aware of that they were like this until i see this video. I stopped contacting him after i left the project around 2019 and my experienced with that project was not good at all, but they were pretty friendly with me and actually vent there problems in our DMs. Considering a lot of bad stuff happened in the project after i left ranging from the Marc Lovallo grooming allegations and the cancellation of the project around September of 2020. After i saw Shawn behavior and toxicity, I actually lost a lot of respect to him and sadly this hurts me deeply since we were good acquaintances in the EWFM project.

I was in Shawn's server, both old and new since early 2021 that I've discovered one of his videos and decided to join his server. His server had an art ping role whenever his staffs wanna share their art. As being a member in that space for that long, I've watched and enjoyed all of their wonderful art, but as time passed, the staffs that often posted there started to disappear, which left me wondering where they've gone and why they left, while new staffs I've first seen are instead posting there. It's always a delight for me when I get an art ping in the server as someone who shows a huge passion for art and aspire to be like all of the artists in his server including Shawn himself, but again, it was rather worrying how the ones I know (well not personally but I still looked up to them) have disappeared without a trace. It wasn't until now that Shawn was finally exposed, man, look at all the things that happened in the background while I was just there to enjoy what I like. And the time when they had to delete their old server, I was also really confused on what happened. I don't know if it was due to one of the compromised account of a moderator fucking up the server, or personal reasons among his "friends", I can barely remember anything from it cause it was all from a year ago. But anyway, I do wish the best for the victims. As for Shawn, yeah screw him.

They'll just say "okay" and move on. Also, guess what? If they wanted to be with you so badly, they can very easily lie to you about their age. Accountability? You know how many accounts I have and how easy it is for me to make more? You know how cheap vpns and other things are too when you make way too many accounts or get ip banned? I think the fault they made was not that they dated an adult (foolishness is expected at that age) or that they lied about their age. I believe their fault was that they didn't inform the adult that they are a minor, regardless of your beliefs it is a fact that it's a big legal risk to date a minor. This has nothing to do with maturity, it's just selfish, and because of that it can't be excused. They didn't have to tell them their real age, just be considerate and tell them they are a minor and that it's risky. (Consider not putting yourself in a situation where *you have to* reveal something about yourself, if you don't want anyone to know things about you) If you are a roleplayer btw, I know it's common to get unpleasant dms. You don't have to say you are a minor, simply say you don't do that sort of thing. If you want to make friends that have some relation to some info about you (like location), consider making an alt where you do spread some info about yourself. Add your irl friends and family to this account while you are at it. You are free to do so but you should always consider the risk and be ok with the fact that people who see what you are doing will probably have the ability to know who you are or where you live. It's not really an exorcism since he didn't change, and he's still who he is. But I still love the theme and I like absurd titles in commentary videos

I remember I used to talk with shawn on a server and when I saw his art he started following me on twitter, we didn’t talked a lot but I found out he stopped following me after what happened and I’m glad he did, I don’t want to interact or be a friend of someone who did nothing but groom minors and be toxic in general.

I remember in 2022 i was on Instagram and found a post by Shawncookie where they made mpeg art of there partner? it was really weird. and then a few days later they deleted it since they got hate over it. they probably still have it up on there twitter but idk. but yeah im glad this video was made cause now i know how fucking weird and horrible Shawn is. keep up the good work Toast!

Well, I, being a old member from the discord server from March-October 2021, can confirm the things he did. One of the moderators did get hacked and started deleting channels, the situation was left for the other moderators. And instead of helping he waited till it stopped and made a Completely different server. He let people use slurs and VC was never moderated at all. If it was, the mods usually did nothing at all to help with the situation and usually added on to it. I’m still in contact with him but that was before everything started. I have not decided to cause any drama with him as he has been through hell. He says I’m his ‘best friend’ only knowing him for two years and barely talking. I can’t confirm about him send explicit pictures but he sometimes talks about it. However, he had made a group with several moderators, me, and a different person (Demonchan). He had explained how I said that demonchan was sending me explicit messages when they never did and and forced me to call. And I was 13-14 at the time. I’m 15 now and oh boy has this man changed.

I would like to make some other important thing about ShawnCookie coming from somebody who was in a server with them but didn't know who they were, ShawnCookie did know somebody else who also is a groomer and was almost going to be outed as one at the time but this person hid it for as long as they could. This youtuber was Masked Messenger Kid [Ender]. I also believe that at some point ShawnCookie was affliliated with Ender themselves since they contributed to their animation mini series of the Green Glasses meme, but Ender was a groomer of somebody as well as being known for shipping their haters and fans, joking about school shooting, and theres a whole other can of worms there that I do not want to talk about. I only know about this because I was a former server member of Ender's server (and actually had interacted with Ender before the grooming incident with them happened.) But thats all I have to add for information about Shawn. I do not know them any further.

Tbh, I was on Shawn's server, and since the first time I joined, i felt like nobody even noticed or me or talked to me, or anything. Shawn's just an young adult that has problems to make order on some things he cannot control, he just doesn't even gave a duck bout anyone in the server, hes is just like a normal user having calls with moderators that apparently are his friends and not allowing other users to participate or anything, and posting his drawings, which I think it's a great idea. When I asked him personally to start a conversation in the vc, at first, he was reasonable, like anyone, but then, I tried to do the DEPRESSO joke (deppressed), and he answered with: O-ok.... Like u can't just make a joke! That makes you feel like the weird one man....
