I replaced my 32" VA 1440p display with an OLED 32" 4k 240Hz a couple months ago. I was shocked by how much better it looks. I have it set up side by side with a very expensive IPS 4k 60Hz monitor from the same company and the differences are less remarkable but still very clear. On a side note, I have a 7800XT GPU and run my game at 4k resolution with outstanding FPS rates. I know that Warcraft isn't very demanding but I thought I'd throw that out there for someone wondering. I couldn't find any information about the 7800x running WOW at 4k.

IPS is a great panel even now, but I would not recommend TN at this point anymore unless you are on an extreme budget. That said, I recently upgraded to a 32" MSI MPG 321URX 32 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) 240Hz Gaming Monitor and it was a game changer for me. The only real issue is it is not as bright as my IPS panel previously but specifically in gaming, everything pops so much more, response times are insane and with true HDR, it is mind blowing what I have been missing. If you have the disposable income and want a nice monitor, I recommend this one for sure.

Every VA panel comes with a boosted black level by default. I think it is the gamma the way it produces. You should reduce the black level manually to make it look like an IPS. I've been camping on that KTC for weeks now. Was sitting on its similarly designed Crua neighbor, but that sold out on Amazon. Cash back and gift cards makes the monitor about $200 for me after tax, but I'm probably going to continue to be unsure about buying it until it's sold out entirely. Mini-LED monitors with 1000+ dimming zones existing makes it a harder purchase decision, too. Those don't have the burn in worry, and if my Samsung Neo QLED TV is any indication, things can get close enough to where it's worth the quality hit.

Could do a “$750 budget baller setup” with one of these monitors and an intel 580 build. Entry level might be making a come back and I’ve to see oled coming down
@X-S-V-b1eАй бұрын
That'll be hard id think. Maybe $1000 build (though I haven't seen the price of the monitor)

As someone who has had a QD OLED for a few years now ( whenever the AW3423DW released ) you cant really go back. The colours, the motion clarity, the real HDR are just insane. I am also so glad prices of them are coming down in the PC space.

Still expensive 699 for oled. Better choose the branded ones

Trust me, even budget oled, it looks way better than any ips any day. Once your eyes glued to it there is no turning back to ips

It's quite funny how my phone has fhd+ 120hz OLED display and it looks way better than my 1440p VA 165hz pc monitor
@PCrealitysАй бұрын
Pretty much everything looks better than a VA panel

If you haven't played on a OLED then you won't know the difference colors are more vibrant and you can tell side by side but by itself you won't notice I'm happy with my 34 inch IPS ultra wide

7:09 Arzopa...or whatever It's called. 14:45 IPS
@evilvash0Ай бұрын
just waiting another 5 years or less Oleds will be insanely cheap between 200-300$ because the adoption rate will be there compared to how long IPS and VA has lasted personally I hate VA's always prefered IPS but if I can get the colors of a VA but the Response time of IPS aka Oled for that price range it would be great.

If you have the money for it buy an oled. Nothing else compares, if you’re an enthusiast and play a lot it’s worth it. Enhances the experience for me.

People in gaming, especially on PC, they harp on about FPS, and make out that FPS is be all, end all of gaming. Now, if you are playing a competitive shooter, or online racing.... I can agree and see that FPS is important, as well as IL and RT. When you go from 30fps too 60fps, the difference is huge. When you go from 60fps too 120fps, it is a noticeable jump, but you notice it more funnily enough when you drop from 120fps plus, down too 60fps, than you first notice going too 120fps. But the screen you play on is JUST as important as frames. I liken it too people that don't rate HDR, or they say they have a TV/Monitor with HDR and they think it is crap, that is more down too a cheap model than the technology itself. Let me tell you, and it is what my pal noticed. I have a 4K LG Oled C3 TV and an LG Ultragear Oled monitor, both with HDR. My pals, they were these morons that believed your eyes don't see in 4K, or people that think Oled is a rip off. One owns a 4K 65'' JVC TV, the others own AOC and Koorui Monitors. It was only when they saw me playing BO6, BF, and a game as old as Skyrim on my Oled monitor and TV, did their jaws literally drop. My mate Scaff said, ''It's like a different game'', the other pal said about CoD ''why doesn't my game look like this'', and he is on a way more powerful PC than mine. They all have now got either Oled TV's or Monitors, because the jump too Oled, is beyond comprehension, unless you actually witness it yourself. I just find it so strange, that so many in 2024, want too brag about how many frames they get, brag about their CPU, GPU combo, brag about their consoles or the fact they have a PS5 Pro or monster PC..... But very few actually care as much about WHAT THEY PLAY IT ON! If you haven't made the jump too 4K by now, in some capacity, you are an idiot. If you CAN afford it but still choose NOT too play on an Oled, you are nothing short of a moron.

Ok. Now question for you Toasty/PC Bros folks that saw the eye test. I currently have a 27-inch 4k/HDR/144Hz Acer Predator monitor. Do you think it’s worth getting an 32-inch OLED 1440p monitor instead or stay in my current lane?
@KumoiwaАй бұрын
OLED monitor is probably the single biggest upgrade you can do to a gaming set up no joke

I do productivity more than gaming, or watching vids, and the screen burn is what deters me from OLED.

The Arzopa has pretty bad light bleeding around the edge of the display.
@ToastyBrosАй бұрын
Yeah, it really stood out when we were doing the oled test, I imagine more expensive IPS monitors wouldn't be as bad.
@pixelmeme461Ай бұрын
from what i look online its because its a ELED (edged led) that's maybe why it got light bleeding from the edges
@speedogomerАй бұрын
@@pixelmeme461 Just about every cheap LCD display is edge lit. It's common on cheap TVs too.

Well the problem is you compare it to a woled panel Comparing them to a quantum dot OLED would be completely different the color saturation and the brightness over 1617 nits on my Samsung s95 C is insane I will never go back to a regular OLED panel
