Meaning of Oppari: Oppari is an ancient form of lamenting in Tamil culture performed (cry singing) by a group of women emotionally when someone lost their loved ones, in which this ancient practice is still exists in Tamilnadu and other states of south India... Formation of Oppari: A group of women form a circle holding each other's shoulder and facing each other and cry singing in a funeral spot.. Content of Oppari: The group of women cry singing the Oppari about the person who passed away, mentioning how good he lived his life in the past, his love towards the family members, his likings, his sacrifice to the family members, his happiness and sorrow, how much the family members loves him too, Praising him for what he did for the nature, everything.. Why Oppari? Oppari cry singing is not only a way of conveying messages to the public related to the deceased person in a funeral ceremony, but also a scientific way of releasing the stress of the person suffering from the loss of their loved ones. i.e. Psychologically helps to deal with emotions .. “I PLANTED FIVE TREES, NURTURED A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN, MY GARDEN IS FLOURISHING BUT YET MY THROAT REMAINS DRY” IS A LAMENTING PHRASE USED IN OPPARI SONG USUALLY PERFORMED IN A FUNERAL PLACE IN TAMIL CULTURE.

The title “Enjoy Enjaami” has so much of meaning. To the people who are unfamiliar about the title, “Enjoy” is combination of two words, En + joy (thaayi), narrated by the Rapper Arivu. “En” means “My” in tamil, "thaayi" is actually "Mother" in Tamil. Combinedly it is "My Mother" ... “Enjaami” is combination of two words, En + Jaami. “En” means “My” in tamil, “Jaami” is actually “Saamy” it means “God” in Tamil, combinedly “My God”. “My God” i.e. "Enjaami" is how elderly people call their grand children or their loved ones in Tamil Culture which is so so cute to hear that. Even the farmers and labours use to call their Masters (Landlords) as "Enjaami" as a respect giving. Likewise singer Arivu is called everytime as “Enjaami” by his Grandmother Valliammal affectionately in real life. That respected Grandmother Valliammal is shown in this ENJOY ENJAAMI official video song at the end … take a look… ROCK ENJOY ENJAAMI….

You are crying because this music is usually played in a condolences when someone dies. It is called oppari in tamil language from tamilnadu in india. It has sadness in its rhythm, that's the reason for your tears 😢 It shares the pain of common people from South India(Tamilnadu)

This is really a very emotional song, I will decipher a little, this world was given to us to be together and to enjoy as one, even it belongs to the animals, everything is a part of this eco-system, everything was given to us by our ancestors, and enjoy this with no difference, and also give the gratitude to our ancestors.

I wish you understood the meaning of the song. She is nature personified and she calls in all the animals and beauty of nature... The man asks his grandmother to tell him a story...she tells the story how she toiled in the soil and a flourishing garden came up....but still her throat is dry with thirst (that's where he sings in an old woman's voice and kneels) Enjami is the term used to address the feudal British lords who took people from Tamilnadu, India to work in tea gardens of srilanka... It's a powerful song...that talks about the sacrifices of forefathers who soiled themselves working in the farms... Enjoy enjami is a satirical phrase where all the people are working hard the enjami is enjoying the ride on elephants and enjoying the rains....
