Tobacco Vanille is a great fragrance, especially for Winter. I don't think it's as versatile as Oud Wood, which is why I would prefer it. This would be my number 3 from Tom Ford, after Oud Wood and Italian Cypress.

I started where you started on the same fragrance from Tom Ford. I have to say every time the seasons change in Chi-town this my go-to fragrance. Like you said stay light on the trigger... This is a nuclear fragrance but soooo very nice! "Keep Rock'n Frags" ®

Tobacco Vanille for me, is the epitome of the height of perfumery. It has everything I would want in a fragrance; two tobacco accords, Cacao, Tonka and Vanilla. The most interesting aspect about this composition is that it seems to have smell different on different days, moods and other factors; for example, I work part time with full time hours, and I always look forward to smelling TV at the end of the day; as I always do, and after working a full day, and smelling it, it seems to change, either the tobacco is front and center, or sometimes the vanilla and cacao are front and center, sometimes its abit of everything; its downright just a mesmerizing fragrance for men; and yes I do mean men, because the characteristics of this composition is primarily male, there are no overly floral accords, it doesn’t smell like something a woman would wear and there are other offerings from tom ford which are clearly for woman, pretty obvious. The only other fragrances that I hold in such high esteem are PDM Oajan, Killian’s Angel’s Share, Thierry Mugler’s Pure Tonka and Gucci’s Gucci Pour Homme 1. Angel’s Share is cognac incarnate, Oajan is Christmas time personified with apple pie, Pure Tonka is gourmand heaven and Gucci Pour Homme 1 is like a 200 year old wooden church which has had incense lit inside for the last 200 years.

For some reason all I get is very strong nauseating vanilla note. Never got Tobacco note. Maybe my nose needs repair. Just spent $250.00 on Tobacco Oud, again....... No Tobacco..... No Oud. Thanks to Jeremy Fragrance for that one.

Man ... you could have smelled the fragrance before buying ... If it doesnt smell like Tobacco or Oud , doesn't mean it doesn't smell like that to me and other people . If anything , you will get alot of compliments , both Tobacco Vanille and Tobacco Oud are premium and very sophisticated fragrances. And 90% of the time you will smell great and leave a nice cloud behind you . :) The thing is , you didn't waste money if other people opinions matter to you . And in future , never blind buy!
