I like that these aren't so polished performances and it's good to see Tobiah working on tecnical issues! Very informative!

A much more applicable (to me) masterclass than most.

Love to hear it! Any reason why? Just wondering how to improve applicability to everyone watching.

@@priceviolinacademy well first thing is that some of the students are much closer to my level. But also Tobiah gave them all very clear actionable advice. Most masterclasses on KZbin are already really polished performances where the soloist nitpicks some extremely nuanced aspect of the playing. Not that it's useless, but a lot of the time it's a bit vague and hyper-specific to that student.

Can't believe that there are so few likes after 5 days! Extremely helpful. G Ire (adult student)

Thanks for saying! Glad it was helpful. The channel is still working its way out of KZbin obscurity. 👍

@priceviolinacademy It will be well supported when people see it. I find that shorts are a great way for the viewer to dip into topics, and great for picking up useful violin nuggets (when one doesn't have time for a full teaching video). Very best to yourself, the school and the channel. I've seen alot.... but your vids are brilliant. G Ire (adult student)

I didn't know Americans took their shoes off in the house. Thought that was a Canadian and Japanese thing only.
@priceviolinacademy3 ай бұрын
It depends on the house but I’d say it’s more common that not. Particularly if this many people are coming over. We’ll see if others contradict me. 🤷♂️

Yes, depends on the customs of the home owner. I would take off my shoes at my violin and piano teacher’s house.
